Katniss POV (recap of last chapter)

I lead into him into a guest room and the others lock the door. "Katniss we don't have to do this if you don't-" he doesn't get to finish his sentence since play lips are already on his. His hand are on my waist and my arms are locked around his neck.

He starts to deepen the kiss and I let out a small moan. His hands start to go down to my butt and my legs go around his torso. He lifts he up and uses the wall for balance. I swear I can feel fireworks going off everywhere and I hope he can too.

I here the door open but I still kiss him passionately only stopping to breathe. When we go outside and all of us decide to watch Grown Ups 2. It's so stupid that's it makes up laugh.

And that night I fall asleep on Finnicks couch laying an Peeta's chest.

Peeta POV (present time)

I can't believe Katniss Everdeen, the girl if my dreams, just kissed me ! Ugh, I wish it could've lasted forever. I felt fireworks going off in every direction and I think she felt them too.

Everyone is sleeping right now either on the ground or on the couch. Katniss is laying on my chest sleeping so peacefully. Too bad she isn't mine. Well not yet anyways. I was planning on taking her out on a movie date tomorrow and then ask her out after that, hopefully she says yes.

I'm really tired and I keep trying to sleep but I just cant. One, their aren't any windows, yea I know it's stupid. Two, Katniss has her head on my chest and I love watching her sleep, yea I know it sounds super creepy.

It's about five in the morning now so I decide that I should just start making breakfast. I'm making my famous cheese buns.

I here someone getting off the couch and coming towards the kitchen. I look over and it's the one and only Katniss Everdeen. "Good morning, how was your sleep?" I ask her " great, probably one of the best nights sleep I've ever had." She replies

As she looks up I see something in her eyes. I see... pain, sadness, and regret.

It's hurts me so much to see like this. but I just move in and try to change the subject.

But one thing I know is that no matter what, I will be here for her and I will always protect her even if she isn't mine.
