SUMMER HEATH

CHAPTER 4

Nade was the quiet type,but if you made her angry she could scream the house down. She went around everyday pretty much doing the same thing,the same chores,the same pattern, her entire life was based on a schedule that never altered.

Well the beast was about to prove us wrong.

"Summer go to sleep," Nade said as she tucked me in

"Buttt the monster might get me in my sleep"

"Don't be silly dear there are no such thing as monsters" i could already hear the frustration in her voice,we had been ar this for the past hour.

She stood up and switched off the lights and left.

No matter how scared i was,i managed to get a good nights rest.

12:00

"arrrrgggghhhh" i jumped out of bed ,what was that?,that was the question that i asked myself, i looked around my window was open,but i could have sworn u closed it,there must have been an intruder,but who would cone ro a house in the middle of nowhere.

I was pulled out of my train of thought,as i heard another scream. I walked out to the hallway as every step i took was unceartain as i could be walking into a trap,i stopped dead in my tracks as i heard the floorboards from behind me,i shreiked and turned back with the speed of light. There stood nade but she didn't wear her usual scowl she had a weird kind of grin.

"Summer what are you doing out of bed this late, no worries are you hungry, sweetie"

I nodded

"Good,cause i am" she said as she looked at me with pure hunger being shown in her eyes she took a step a closer, as i moved back.

"Come on, i just want you to join your sister". She said as she let out a hungry growl

My sister sam,but nade couldn't have,could she.

I had to snap out of my train of thought as she lunged forward at me.

I let out a scream,i then dashed down through the hall,then down the steps but it was of no use,there was this sudden adredaline in her she was catching up and fast,i still did not know my way around the house as i soon ran into a dead end ,before i could turn around and run,she grabbed my neck and lifted me above the ground,i couldn't breath,i tried to release myself from her powerful grip.

I was gasping for air as i could not breathe,i kicked,screamed but it only made her smile to grow,i think she kind of looked like the joker.

All of a sudden she let me go,instead of the look of undeniable hunger i had once seen before i saw weakness,as if she was begging for help,a tear fell from her eye.

"Run".

I dashed across the house,i knew then i was fighting for my life and a new burst of adredaline surged through my body. I got outside,i stopped for a while to catch my breath,whatever had possesed her had returned as i could hear her screamsand the sounds of plates and glasses breaking.
