As soon as entered through the doors of Maverick High. I could see Manny and Cedric my bestfriends standing against the lockers.I walked towards them. "Hi guys!What y'all talking about!?"I asked leaning against the lockers after giving them both a hug.

Cedric"Ced" was a sight to look at with his hazel eyes with gold flecks in them and his chocolate brown skin, with a lean build he was 6'1 towering over both me and Manny.Manny" Mae" was a preppy blond who was always full of energy almost as if like a bunny.

They were both arguing over who was hotter Toni Mahfud or Shawn mendes.After almost listening to ten minutes of constant bickering I zoned out.

From the back of my eye I could see freshmen staring at me while trying to be subtle about it. This was nothing new for me. Even though for almost two years I've been here still these people couldn't get over the fact that my face was different than normal people.

"Jae!?" Manny called bringing me out of my thoughts. "Yes" I ask. "We should get to class the bell is about to ring. You know how Mr's Hitler gets if  we're even a second late."she replies. With a nod to Ced, we were off to class.

Thankfully almost all of my classes were either with Manny or Ced so I didn't have to be alone. My first class was of calculus.

Our calculus teacher Mr's banks was a dry, stout woman in her early fifties.She was the reincarnation of Hitler hence her nick "Mrs Hitler."

Upon reaching the class I quickly went and sat on my corner seat in the last row, with Manny sitting right beside me to my left. Once everyone was settled. Mrs Hitler informed us today was a surprise quiz. Everyone groaned.It seemed the day was gonna go horrible.

But just as she was distributing the quiz. A guy burst into the class.I had never seen him before he had that "badboy" vibe around him with ink on his arms and neck. He was a good 6'2 with an athletic build .The black fitted shirt he was wearing was showing his sculpted biceps.His gaze fell on me,his chocolate brown orbs looking deep into my soul.I couldn't look away arrogantly he just smirked and looked away at the teacher.

I got out of the trance to see most of the girls were also drooling,including Mae who gave me a knowing smile when I looked at her checking out the new guy.I noticed I too was so busy thinking about his stare that I had missed the conversation between him and Mrs Hitler. It was quite surprising she let him off so easily,considering her never sparing anyone who's late to class ever even the newbies.

Anyways the guy had taken the only seat left in the class which was the one exactly beside me to my right. I noticed I was still staring at him, so I quickly averted my eyes.Feeling his eyes burning a hole in the side of my head throughout the whole class. I just ignored him keeping my eyes solely on my work.As soon as the bell rang I rushed out of the class leaving mae with behind with a confused expression. I knew I was gonna have to give mae a whole explanation after.

"So explain miss!?" Mae exclaimed as soon as I had sat down on the lunch table keeping my tray down which consisted of my favorite fish and chips."Patience woman!,Let me atleast sit down properly first".I huffed.

"At least let's wait for Ced or I'll have to repeat it all again ",I reasoned after sitting down.Thankfully mae agreed and we got lost in our thoughts eating our.

"Soo girls anything new " Ced questioned.
"Well"mae irked me to continue,
"Okay I rushed out of class because mister new guy was creeping me out okay!?"I blurted out.
"Oh! does someone has a new crush"Ced winked at me.
"Crush? me? pftt Nah he just looks so effing arrogant and you know how I hate such people he's like the biggest cliche bad boy ever"I replied
"Well girl don't Ya dare lie to me,I know you inside out babe Soo puh-leasee don't try this bullshit with me."mae persisted

"Even if I do have a crush It doesn't really matter ,like look at me and look at him. "I murmured playing with my food.

"Don't you dare think that you're any less you're way beautiful and hotter than most of the plastics here."Ced shrieked in my ear.
"Oww! You're shouting in my ear again"I stated rubbing my ear
"Sorry but I don't wanna hear such pointless shit coming out of your mouth again , enough of this girl it's been like one day of the new dude and you're already bringing yourself down for him."Ced ordered mae agreeing with him.

"Anyways that got from zero to hundred real quick, tell me have you guys heard about Brenda's party are you planning to go, "Mae changed the topic which I was quite thankful for.

The rest of the break went uneventful with us discussing about the party. The new boy remained a nagging thought at the back of my mind. Who was he? And what was the story behind those chocolate eyes.
