Sirius And Remus Come For Harry

MAGIC

"So Harry" began Sirius "what do you know about magic?"

"It's not real" Harry said firmly

"Are you sure" said Remus with a huge grin across his face

"Uncle Vernon says so"

"What's this then" said Sirius as he swished his wand and from thin air a beautiful black dog appeared. It ran round Harry before padding back to Sirius and disappearing again.

"What was that!" asked Harry. He was completely amazed and didn't really care about whatever rules he had or didn't have. He was curious and al he knew was them at he wanted to do that!

"Magic!!" Said Sirius. Magic is real and people like you, me, Remus lots of people can do it.  It's a gift."

"There is a whole world of magic" said Remus "An amazing world filled with wonder and imagination. There are unpredictable little quirks wherever you look which even when you are old and wrinkly still amaze you"

By this time Harrys eyes were poping out of his head he was excited and smiling on the outside but on the inside he was fighting a battle.
If there was one rule in the Dursley house it was that MAGIC WAS NOT REAL this had been drilled into his head since he could speak and it would be hard to forget easily. Then again Harry never really was one for rules.

For the rest of the morning the little boy who had been so deprived of his childhood allowed himself to be carried away into a whole new world with flying sofas, talking animals and magic broomsticks and most importantly people who loved him. They didn't shout when he asked questions or hide him away. They didn't mind spending time with him they talked to him gently and comforting.

For a few hours Harry felt wanted.
