The adrenaline pumping through Loky's body was all that was keeping him standing and keeping his mind off what had just happened to him. It didn't matter how hard he tried to keep still; his body shook. It took all his remaining strength to keep upright and not rely on any of the four remaining recruits for assistance.

His body begged him to grasp something, anything, but he ground his teeth and pushed the feeling away. There was only one person here who deserved any recognition from him and that was Finn.

The only one who went out of his way, pushed the boundaries, dismissed the consequences to save his life. Their eyes met for a heartbeat, Loky dipped his chin to show him that he knew what he'd done and that he now owes him a life-debt in return.

Even though Loky doubted someone like Finn would ever need rescuing by someone like himself, the offer was there anyway, whether he chose to accept it or not.

When Finn whistled for the stable boys, Loky knew this day wasn't over just yet and his heart sank. Surely, he had proven himself worthy enough by now, he was so exhausted, there was nothing left of him to give.

The realisation of the fact that he may not make it through this washed over him.

He shut out the world, shut out what Finn was saying and just deeply inhaled to keep himself steady.

For a moment he was looking down upon himself from high above. After everything he'd done and witnessed today it would all be for nothing, he'd never find his sister and his entire existence would be for nothing.

A deep male voice interrupted his thoughts, but he ignored it until there was a large body before him and his shoulders were being shaken by strong hands.

"Wake up you idiot."

Finn snapped, his face stone-cold and emotionless.

When he let go, Loky's body gave-way a little, acting on instinct alone his arm reached out and grabbed for Finn. A solid forearm was within his grasp and it helped him get steady again and ignited his brain to focus again on the situation presented before him.

Finn was holding a small vial of liquid. Unable to process anything properly right now Loky just stared at it blankly until Finn spoke to him again.

"You were given poison in your wine this morning. This is the antidote. Drink it now or you'll die."

Finn forcefully tore Loky's hand open and placed the small vial there. Still Loky said nothing. He only took a moment to stare at the little bottle of liquid. The hue was golden, and it reminded him of a pair of eyes he'd grown to love so dearly.

He contemplated what it would be like if he didn't drink the antidote and just slipped away without any cares in the world. No one would miss him anyway; it would be all too easy. He turned it over in his palm and watched the liquid wave around, back and forth. He'd given up everything just for the sake of someone else.

He didn't even know if she'd remember who he was.

"What the rutting hell are you waiting for?"

Growled Finn.

Loky had forgotten he was still standing in front of him. When he looked up, all other recruits were already walking away, they'd passed and were heading off somewhere perhaps to celebrate.

Loky didn't feel like celebrating anything.

"I didn't just save your fucking life for you to not drink that damn antidote. Drink it now."

"Or else what... you'll kill me?" Loky said simply, without any emotion.

"I'll force it down your damn throat."
