Right after the battle, Hiro and Shiro turned back into their human forms. Eventually, Tsubaki and I end up convincing Black★Star to let Maka and Soul go. I had to scold my weapons to stop laughing again as we made our way to where the person who turned Sid into a zombie lives. We finally arrive at a large laboratory with stitches all along the outer walls. I resist the urge to shiver as a cool breeze sweeps through my silvery blond hair.
"He's here," Maka declares.
"So this is where we find Stein," Soul states. "Let's hurry and finish this guy off. I'm ready for these lessons to be over."
"He even put zigzag stitches on his laboratory," Hiro remarks then looks down at his feet to see a seemingly mechanical mouse hopping by.
Hiro nudges Shiro and Shiro takes notice of the mouse as well. They shrug at them same time.
"Interesting architecture," Maka observes.
"I agree, it makes me wonder what kind of guy this 'Stein' is," I add.
We stand there in silence until we hear the squeak of a door opening and the sound of wheels rolling.
"Something's coming out of there," Soul says.
Everyone stands on guard as the sound of wheels grow closer. Eventually, a man in a spinny chair and a white lab coat comes rolling out, but the wheels of the chair get caught on the threshold and he falls over. He quickly gets up and brushes the dirt off his butt, then promptly plops back down in his chair.
"Damnit! It still doesn't feel quite right," the man exclaims as he... twists the screw in his head!? "Hmm, maybe that'll take care of it. Okay, I'm gonna try that again," he declares before picking up his chair and walking back inside.
"Um, shouldn't someone stop him?" Soul asks.
"But we just met him, isn't that rude?" Maka reasons.
"I'd like to see what happens next," Black★Star says.
"Yeah, so would I," Tsubaki agrees.
"We can watch, but whatever you do, keep your guard up. He may act oddly now, but he's still a three-star miester, and the one who turned Sid into a zombie," I warn them.
The Ichinose Twins stay silent behind me and get ready to transform on my command. Hearing the sound of wheels again, Stein rolls out on his spinny chair and once again, falls over. This time, we all sweatdrop and ask ourselves, 'Is this guy for real?' Still upside down on the ground, halfway in his chair, he twists the screw in his head again.
