It had been several days ever since the defeat of Smiler and her army. Every emoji in Textopolis were now free to express their true selves... and it was all thanks to Gene, the once-meh emoji, and his friends.
A celebration was currently being held at the city square and every emoji, including you, a simple star emoji, was invited. To say you were nervous would be an understatement. You finished eyeing yourself in the mirror and took a deep breath, mentally preparing yourself for what was sure to be one of, if not the biggest, event of the year. You told yourself that it was going to be fine. You looked stunning.
It was either now or never.
After a few hesitant seconds, you exited your house and began walking down the street. Luckily the plaza was only a few blocks down, so it didn't take long at all to arrive on the scene.
You carefully inched your way around the bustling crowd of emojis, scanning the area for a secluded spot to claim as your own. You noticed many different kinds of emojis chatting amongst themselves. Even the holiday emojis had all gotten together; that had never ever happened before in emoji history.
As you gawked at this scene, you accidentally bumped against some emoji. Caught by surprise, you stumbled and nearly fell on top of them. Thankfully the stranger caught you just in time.
"Oh jeez... sorry about that," you murmured sheepishly and quickly took a couple of steps back.
"Ah, it's okay. Don't worry about it," a familiar voice replied. You looked up in curiosity and nearly gasped in shock.
"Y-You're Gene... oh my stars!" you exclaimed. The multi-expression emoji smiled warmly at you and nodded.
"Yep, that's my name. And you are?" he held out his hand and stared at you with those beautifully cool green eyes that you had only gazed upon in your dreams.
"I-I'm uh... Star. Star Emoji. It's an honor to meet you," you finally managed to answer and took ahold of his hand to shake. It was warm and incredibly soft, and you couldn't help but feel a bit disappointed when he let go.
"Oh no, the pleasure's all mine. I've never seen any emoji quite as dazzling as you, after all," he winked, his smile growing at his pun. Despite how awful it was, you couldn't stop yourself from giggling, which in turn began to make him laugh. You supposed it was true that laughter was contagious.
"Not only is he cute, he's hilarious too," you quietly sighed to yourself after your laughter subsided. Unfortunately, you weren't as quiet as you had hoped.
"You think I'm cute?" Gene tilted his head and stared at you questionably. Shoot, you'd been caught.
"I, um... y-yes, but just a little bit. It's not like I have a crush on you or anything," you said as casually as possible. However, there was no mistaking the beads of sweat that rolled down each of your five points.
"Aw, well that's a shame. I was kind of thinking about inviting you to my house sometime later tonight," he said with such disappointment that you immediately regretted lying to him.
"N-no, I was just messing around. I actually do kinda have a crush on you... as stupid as that sounds," you admitted. To your relief, Gene's frown turned into a smirk.
"In that case, let's get out of here and I'll take you to my place."

As soon as you two stepped inside, your lips were locked onto each other's and you were running your fingers through his small tufts of hair. The emoji lifted you up in his arms and you happily wrapped your legs around his circular body. With minimal effort, he carried you upstairs to his bedroom.
You let out a small whimper of disdain as he dropped you on his bed, breaking the kiss. He shushed you by kissing you again, this time slipping his tongue into your mouth and exploring each and every corner he could reach.
While you were distracted, he slowly ran his hands over your two bottom star points, making you shiver in delight. You pulled away to catch your breath and stared lustfully into his clouded orbs. You knew what he wanted, and you would want nothing more than to give it to him.
"Gene... I want you to take me... p-please," you whispered and leaned your forehead against his. The emoji nodded and pecked you on the lips once more.
"Okay... but... I have something I need to say to you first...," he replied with slight hesitance.
"You can tell me anything, Gene," you assured him. With that, he bit his lip and took a deep breath.
"What, did you think there would be more to this? Do you have some kind of emoji fetish or something? You're a sick person, you know that, right? I bet you've looked up much worse too. Absolutely disgusting. Disgraceful. You should be ashamed of yourself for reading this far. This was a mistake. The Emoji Movie is a mistake. I am a mistake. We're all mistakes.
What a beautiful world we live in."
You woke up from your dream and, after processing what had just happened, regretted all of your life decisions leading up to this point.

Yes, there is more to this. Everything is explained in the next part. ;^)))
