"that's what's part of a relationship, mark. being able to look past the fear of being vulnerable to someone and letting them see your heart for what it really is."
"i know," he whispered, "i'm sorry. just, please, don't..."
she watched him look down, biting his lip and letting his black hair fall in his face, "don't what, mark?"
he looked back up at her with glistening brown eyes, breathed in and whispered, "don't leave me, baby."
she rushed into his chest, holding him tight and feeling his shoulders shake underneath her grasp. his warm hands splayed against her back and he whimpered. she sighed, kissing his neck and whispering sweet nothings in attempt to calm him down.
after a few minutes, he calmed down and looked her in the eye, grabbing her face in his big hands, "i'm so sorry." and then he dove in and kissed her with everything he had left, every ounce of his being.
and the feeling in his chest wasn't fear, it wasn't terror, it wasn't hatred. he was relieved and he was... he was in love. he felt safe.
she was his lifeline.
he was her aggravating everything.
i can't live without you.
