Background/Being born and brought up in Toronto, she did not know much about the Korean culture.Even her parents usually communicated in English so she got used to the English language.Her grandmother was the only one who taught her about Korean culture when she visited her in Gyeongju. After being introduced to Kdramas and Kpop, she realised that South Korea was where she really belonged and so, moved to Gyeongju with her grandmother in 2010.

Personality/Hayeon is quite a spoiled baby as a result of being pampered by her group members. She is innocent and doesn't really get 'adult' jokes. However, she doesn't like being called a child.
