Background/Karen came from a normal family, she has learned the desire to rap after seeing groups like S.E.S, H.O.T, Sechskies, etc. Before, Karen had the motive to sing after seeing ballads and such on older Korean music programs. Of course, right away Karen's parents knew she could make it in the music industry so they would make her train her vocals and dancing. Karen was accepted to Woolim Entertainment in 2008, trained for 5 years and left since she couldn't make the cut for Lovelyz, then trained in Starship and Pledis both for 1 year and went to BigHit, where she may have a chance to debut.
