Chapter 6

After about an hour Doctor Quinnzel and I left the small bathroom and she took me back to my bed. I noticed that there is blood on the sheets and the floor. I look back at her and see that she is talking to a small framed male nurse. I decide to sit in the chair that she usually sits in instead of on my bed. I sit and pull my knees to my chest. She comes over with the nurse and I stand quickly and move behind the chair.

"It's ok, Kendrick. It's alright. This is Travis. He is going to check your arm to make sure that the vein stops bleeding." She says and he nods.

"I'm not going to hurt you, Kendrick. I promise." He says and I look back at Doctor Quinnzel. She nods and I sigh and sit back in the chair. Travis comes over and takes the cloth strip and paper towel off of my arm as I stare at the wall.

"Kendrick." Doctor Quinnzel says and I look at her. "I'm going to step out real quick and make a call, ok?"

"B-but-" I say as my eyes grow wide and she grabs my hand.

"I'll be right outside. I won't leave, ok?" She says and I nod. She ruffles my hair and walks out. I sit there in silence as Travis fixes up my arm. I keep my other arm wrapped arpund my knees and I stare off into space.

"I'm sorry that the other ones scared you." Travis apologises out of the blue. I look at him, but I don't say anything. What am I suppose to say?

'Oh it's fine. You're friends have only caused me to have one gigantic panic attack which caused me to bust a vein in my arm, and bleed everywhere!'

Yeah not the best way to connect with the staff here. I decide to change the subject.

"Who did I hit?" I ask and he smirks.

"You hit the head nurse. He was really pissed. You broke his nose." He says chuckling.

"Oh.....dang." I say which causes him to laugh. I can't help but let a small smirk through as he laughs.

"You broke the head nurse's nose and all you say is 'oh dang'!" He says while laughing.

"I hit Robin in the face and broke his nose." I say and he looks at me surprised.

"That's right. You thought that he was threatening your friend." He says and I glare at him.

"She's my sister!" I snap and he almost jumps out of his skin. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to snap."

"No, it's alright. I understand. After everything you've been through we should expect it." He says.

"It's no excuse. No matter what someone has been through. It doesn't give them the excuse to be rude and cruel to others." I say as I look down. He sighs, but doesn't say anything. I know i've upset him, but i've decided to not say anything else. Soon he finishes with my arm and he leaves. I hear him say something to Doctor Quinnzel. I pull my knees to my chest as she walks in.

"Hey Kendrick, how's your arm?" She asks and I shrug. I stare at the wall in front of me as she comes and kneels down next to the chair I'm sitting in.

"What's wrong, sweety?" She asks as she pushes some hair out of my face. I look at her and she gives me a sympathetic smile.

"I snapped at Travis." I say and she nods.

"I know. He told me, but he's not upset with you I promise." She says and I sigh.

"When can I get out of here? I hate hospitals." I say and she sighs.

"They want to keep you here for a few more days. Just in case you have a relapse of amnesia." She says and I roll my eyes.

"I will stay for three more days. Then I'm checking myself out of here." I say in all seriousness as I stand and walk to the window. I hear her sigh.
