The Phandom

I've started with a big one.

For those of you who have no clue who on earth the Phandom are, which is honestly mind blowing considering they're one of the most annoy- I mean amazing fandoms on the internet, the Phandom is the group of fans who support the 2 British YouTubers Dan and Phil.

As a British person myself, I've never been too bothered with them, I've watched a few videos on both their individual channels and their collabs and in all honesty, I prefer Dan's solo content but that's just me. I don't like their stuff enough to want to subscribe but they're cool dudes.

So anyway, the fans. A cringeworthy group of tweens who think they're cool just because they know how to use the internet. The older fans of theirs are actually quite chill and I actually know a few members of the Phandom I'm real life who are fine for the most part other than the fact they're slightly cringe tumblr enthusiasts.

A Few Major Issues I Have With The Fans

• Stop shoving your ship down people's throats like god, they haven't come out as gay so don't assume their sexuality. This is what stopped me from getting into them originally because all I used to see is, 'omg look at the way Dan looked at Phil's arm, they're totally fucking.'
A lot of this isn't as bad as it was but I still see it.

• 'Omg the Phandom is here' comments on YT videos if someone happens to have a Phil pfp. This again isn't as bad as it used to be since a new fandom has managed to overpower it... (I'm sure you already know which fandom I'm talking about if you think hard enough and I'll get onto them in a few chapters...)

• The cringe references. Yes I get it. You watch Dan and Phil. Want an award? You don't need to say 'don't cry, craft' when that joke is so fucking old like wow.

• Lastly, the fan fictions. I've been a victim of listening to some of the god awful fan fictions in the past. One particular incident involved me walking down the road after school with friends and one girl in my year group was reading 'The Hat Fic' out loud. I gave her a look of horror and disgust. One of the worst things I'd ever heard.

I know hardly any fan fictions are like this now but the ones I've seen are so generic, but that's mainly cause this is Wattpad so what'd you expect?
