Take a Chance

I was laying in my empty room, that I used to share with my other three sisters on the bed that will soon be moved. It was dark in the room, and I couldn't sleep, I was too excited. My parent have gotten a promotion and are being relocated to another state. A new neighborhood means a new chance to change. But it also means another place where Liv, my older sister, will always be prettier then me. In total I have six crazy siblings.

The oldest is my brother Lyle. HE was the only one who got me, and knew what was wrong when I was upset. But he moved to England and is going to school there. He is 22, so I couldn't use the excuse of him being too young with my parents, to make hi stay. He is the brains of the family, him and my youngest brother.

Second oldest is my sister Liv, she is a year older then me. She's always been the prettier one. Tall with blonde hair, skinny with a thigh gap, and the girl every guy wants. She has bright blue eyes, I have gray eyes. She has perfect straight hair, I have frizzy hair that I can never seem to manage. It's hard standing next to your sister when she is a size three and your a size eleven.

I am the third child. I'm Beatris, but I think I am going to start having everyone call me Tris. I am also the other one out of the two who has Hypothyroidism. I am sixteen with blonde hair and gray eyes, some days if I am lucky enough my eyes look blue. I like to write and make art, its my passion. I don't know what I would do if I couldn't make art, or doodle. I think I would die with out doodling.

After me there's Callie, she is like me, and is a book worm. She owns about three hundred books, and I am not even counting the ones on her iPad. She is fifteen and also has hypothyroidism. She looks like our dad, brown hair and brown eyes. I find her beauty to be so unique, but she thinks she is always ugly.

Then there's Eli, he's twelve, and is a trouble maker. Although he has been trying to fix what he has done. Him and Callie are best friends, and when he isn't out with his friends, and she isn't reading a book in her room, they are on the couch watching videos, or talking. It's amazing how close they are.  Liv and I used to be like that, until she started to hang out with boys.

After him there's Belle. She is the drama queen, or the diva of us all. She is only eight and is thinking of boys and talking about who likes who in the school. It's crazy to think about how much times have changed. When I was eight I was playing games and thinking boys had cooties.

Lastly there is my brother Jax, he is a brainiack, and is sometimes smarter than Lyle. He is usually playing some kind of game, and is always asking everyone to play some kind of game with him.

I turned on my side and looked out the window, one last time. I have looked out the window so many times, just looking at the moon. Honestly I was going to miss this place. A part of me didn't want to go. This is where I grew up, in the warm sun, the warmth, and now I am moving to a place that gets rain about three or four times a week.

In the morning my younger siblings went with my mother in her van, Liv and I went with my father in his truck. Dad was sat at the drivers side, and since Liv was smaller than me, I let her sit in the middle. "So girls the young ones are going with your mother to McDonald's for breakfast. Would you like to go there as well, or to Dunkin Donuts?" My father asked. "Dunkin donuts!" Liv and I said at the same time. We looked at each other and laughed. Sometimes we acted like twins. I changed the radio station, and the song 'Second and Sebring' by Of Mice and Men was on. Liv turned it up and  we all sang along.

"I would like three big and toasted sandwiches, a large strawberry coolata with whipped cream, a small vanilla bean coolata with whipped cream, and a large iced tea with no lemon and no sugar." My dad told the lady at the cash register. We got our drinks, and I walked to the straw station with Liv. "Hey gorgeous." I just kept my eyes on my drinks, he was talking to Liv anyway. "Hey yourself." I heard her say. "Actually I was talking to your sister." I looked up with my straw in my mouth. "Um, hi?" It came out as more of a question, and I was mentally kicking myself for it. "Why so surprised love?" I noticed he had a thick accent, Scottish I believe. His black hair was messy and his hazel eyes looked amazing. "Because my sister is the gorgeous one." I said and she looked at me, and I took a sip f my drink. "Well I am just visiting a family member here," He told me where about he lived and it was surprisingly in the same community we were moving to. "Well I guess I will see you around beautiful." He said touching my cheek before leaving. My sister looked at me and wiggled her eyebrows up and down. I just laughed and rolled my eyes.
