**Diego Boneta as Archer Hunt

Alexis POV

I had just finished work and drove to the destination planned by my husband for some lunch. It was a simple diner, but in my mind, it was quite nice.

As I was scrolling mindlessly through my phone, the strung bell cried out as it signaled to all of the occupants that a new customer arrived. When I heard the screeching of a chair pulling out in front of me, I deducted that the new person was Arch.

"Hola, mi reina. I apologize for being a bit behind on schedule, but thank the heavens I was still able to make it to be with you."

Putting my phone face down, I genuinely smiled, something that seemed to be rare nowadays and peered up at his face.

"You're forgiven. Now let's order something because the employees here are starting to become annoyed with me for putting it off."

Calling the waitress over with a hand motion, I inquired how my love's day was so far. All was well until the desperate employee rudely interrupted our conversation, asking what we would like to order. Well, she asked Arch more than she asked the both of us.

Clearing my throat, I made sure to smoothly request a dish before Arch opened his mouth, directing the woman's attention to my side of the table.

Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Arch's mouth morphing into a smirk as he could realize the reasoning behind my actions.

"Excuse me, miss, but I was talking to this handsome man first. I really do think that a man with more authority than you should be taken care of first before someone of lower class, like you." That young woman, who probably hadn't even been alive for more than seventeen years had the audacity to disrespect and look down upon someone that was at least ten years older than her. I mean, yes, Archer was in a business suit, while I was in a slightly more casual attire, but seriously, did I really look like a beggar from the streets?

My eyebrows raised, my lips pursed, and my head turned to get a better view of the waitress.

"Child, do keep at least an ounce of respect for yourself, otherwise you will never be able to make a name for yourself when you are truly old enough to call yourself an adult because right now, even though you are attempting to make a fool out of me, the only fool I see here is you. I must say, the standards restaurants hold for their employees are quite low nowadays."

"Excuse me, miss," she hissed, "I am a very hard-worker that is trying to make a living for myself."

"Wow, if insulting people is such a difficult task for you to accomplish every day, I wonder, what kind of work did I accomplish to be where I am at right now?"

"Mi reina, do you want to leave?" Archer cleared his throat as he sensed how annoyed I was becoming by this girl's petty actions.

"No need. There is no use of leaving a restaurant that we paid good money for just because of an immature high schooler. I will just call for a new server." Turning my attention back to the waitress, who was quite openly ogling my husband, I requested for the manager.

This was a simple request, one that anyone could have done, but this young lady just had to start a fight with me.

"Sorry, he's not in."

"Darling, I have enough money to buy this entire block, pay for your entire future college tuition, and still have enough money to pay my bills until retirement. Do you really want to test me?" My eyes narrowed as I had had it with this waitress. Taking her silence as an answer, I continued. "Let me rephrase that. Get Adam," my teeth grit.
