Sebastian wished now more than ever to have someone to talk to. He so desperately wanted to have someone to articulate his exasperation to. He wanted someone to understand his frustrations towards his father.

But he had no one.

Whatever attempt at friendship he had made before was now gone, a merit of his current reputation. How could someone even consider talking to him, let alone befriending him, when he was perceived as an unlawful criminal walking freely among them.

Therefore, because of his complete and utter solitude, he decided to focus on something else. He was going to think of nothing but his training with Kira. He stopped complaining every time she made him run a mile. He stopped ditching her and brought himself to exhaustion every time. Oddly enough, two weeks had passed since they had first begun their training, all he did was run. He had no idea how nonstop jogging was going to help him, but he didn't ask. He had learned not to question Kira, who now sat idly by reading a book, while he ran. They barley spoke to one another. The only words that were said were Kira yelling for him to run another mile or two. Some days, she would simply not show up and have a messenger come and tell Sebastian to just stick to his running routine.

Not that it made a difference if she were there or not.

After their last training session before Christmas, when she had ditched him, Sebastian thought that maybe there was a small chance, a tiny bit of hope, that they could get along after all. Not in a bonding, best friend kind of way, but in a way where they were both tolerant of each other. Maybe, the neutral mask she wore would melt away with time and she could tell him the real reason she was training him.

A fool's hope.

Kira had gone back to not talking to him, and after the incident with his family, Sebastian didn't feel like talking either. They both stuck to their thoughts and let their words blur.

For a while, at least.

One day, after running until his feet could no longer function, Sebastian was about to head home in silence, until Kira stopped him, speaking.

"Meet me here tonight at eight." She said simply.

"What for?" Sebastian question, eyes narrowed. "Please don't tell me it's for more running. I still don't understand what-"

"No." She cut him off harshly. "Don't be late."

"Says the one whose always late." Sebastian mumbled under his breath.

"What was that?" She snapped.

"Nothing, nothing." Sebastian said quickly.

Too exhausted to care anymore, he stopped asking questions. He knew that she wouldn't answer them anyway. So, he parted ways with his trainer, only to join her once again a few hours later.
