"DO NOT EAT, DAY. 20 CUTS IF YOU DO. DEEP ONES."

I do my best to ignore the harsh words of myself as I sit next to Terra, across from Thantos. Again, all around me, people are eating.

"So, your name is Thantos. Not to be rude, but what kind of name is that?" Where the fuck did that come from? Terra shoots me a weird look, but it's one of those that only girls notice.

Thantos laughs. "My parents are Greek Mythology fanatics. I get that all the time." How are his eyes so dark...?

"Really? Mine are, well, my parents don't really like anything..." Terra says to him, saving my ass from him noticing me staring intently at his eyes. Talk about awkward.

Thantos laughs again as he lifts the greasy disgusting school cafeteria pizza to his mouth. I swear, the grease literally drips onto the styrafoam tray. I turn my head and try not to gag, while also willing my stomach to stay quiet and subduing the urge to grab it from his hands.

"Yeah my mom is like that too." I say. My dad, well, I've never really had a dad. I mean, I have a biological dad, obviously, but I've never met him. I think his name might be Eric, but I'm not sure.

I take a deep breath, and immediately regret it. The beautiful aroma of food wafts into my nostrils and my stomach rumbles loudly. My eyes widen and I press my hands against my stomach.

"Wow. That was loud. Here have some of my fries." Thantos holds out his carton of greasy, salty, calorie filled fries to me, mere inches from my face. Gag.

"I'm fine." I tell him, quickly pushing them away. "Make an excuse, Day. quick, before they get suspicious." " I'm fasting for a LGBT thing."

The boy nods, and Terra does as well, though she raises her eyebrows slightly. "Well, lunch is almost over." She says, standing up. "I'm going to the ladies room."

The bell rings before she gets back.
