''grab an apple at least.'' lana's mom ordered her as she went to leave for work. ''yeah lana, grab an apple.'' her older brother, matt joked.

lana and matt were only a year apart. they got along most of the time and the majority of their lives were spent pissing each other off.

''oh and by the way, next time you and lily are having sex, could you maybe be a bit quieter? i don't really enjoy been woken up by moaning at 2am.'' matt slapped his sister gently on the arm as their dad entered.

''morning my wonderful kids, have you eaten?'' their dad bellowed as he grabbed a banana.

''i'm eating at school. you could say that matt ate last night instead.'' small laughs escaped lana as she quickly escaped the house, dodging the argument she'd have with her brother because of her inappropriate comment.

outside was one of her bestfriends, winona. she was waiting in her cadillac; inhaling the smoke from her cigarette.

''hey, bitch.'' lana jumped into the passenger seat. ''he-'' winona went to respond, but something caught her eye.

''oh-my-fucking-god.'' both of them were wide eyed, staring at the house across the street. ''is that-'' ''it's griffin.'' lana interrupted.

''well, he's changed.'' they breathed out in unison. ''how has he got like a foot taller in a freaking year?'' winona laughed.

''lana, if you don't fuck him then other people will.'' lana became wide eyed at this. ''i'm not fucking him, jeez.'' she chuckled awkwardly; scratching the back of her neck.

''if it wasn't for your pride then he would've got into your panties the first time you two made eye contact.'' winona laughed. she knew lana well, so well that she could say how much sexual tension there was between her and griffin.

''no, he's a pig. he's probably riddled with chlamydia and he's just an ass.'' lie after lie was being said by lana. she wasn't going to admit her attraction to griffin, not to anyone. not even to her friend.

''do you think he'll still be trying it with you this time? i mean, he's been away for a year. maybe he's forgotten about everybody.'' winona shrugged, putting her keys into the ignition.

''yeah... hopefully.'' another lie.

as they pulled up to the parking lot of their high school, the two stubbed out their cigarettes.

''ola, bitches.'' lana greeted ethan and dan. just as ethan was about to respond, somebody walked over and interrupted, sitting beside lana.

''you look hot in a leather jacket, doll.'' griffin smirked at the girl beside him, her cheeks flushing red.
