Imagine (3): Just Friends

Rain sounds awful, in the middle of the night, a boy with his school uniform crying on his bed, hugging his blanket closer, with his pillow wet.

(Flashback)

"I love you." A tall boy confessed, the small boy widened his eyes, mouth opened, no words is spoken.

"Yeo-Yeol-ah, please stop the joke." He laughs nervously.

Chanyeol chuckled for awhile, he stare deeply at the small boy. "Hahhh, I knew you would say that." Chanyeol grab the small boy's wrist, pulling him closer, put small boy's face near his yoda ear. "Baekhyun-ah, saranghae. Really." He intertwined his fingers with the small boy's delicate fingers. Chanyeol reach out with his other hand, he put his hand on the back of the small boy, pulling even more closer, making them hug each other.

Baekhyun's mouth left hanging open, his eyes became teary. Baekhyun's is now trembling body, push him away from the hug. Chanyeol bit his lower lip. "Why are you being like this?" Baekhyun asked. Their hands still intertwined together, Chanyeol squish Baek's hand more but gently.

"Baekhyun-ah, I can't hide my feelings from you, when I see you everyday. It makes my heart even more tortured. I love you. I don't know when this feelings starts to grew. But now I know that all... All I need is you, I want to be with you and to complete my life." Chanyeol starts to pull them closer again, but Baekhyun put his unhold hand to Chanyeol's chest for stopping them to hug each other.

"Chanyeol-ah, you've been with me this whole time, and I always there when you need me." Baekhyun drew his eyebrows closer, his face full of concerns, there's something he is thinking about that will not end well.

"Baek-ah, I want more than that." Chanyeol confess. After hearing those words mutters out of Chanyeol's mouth, Baekhyun's hand that on Chanyeol's chest, goes down to his other hand and let go of the intertwining fingers. Chanyeol automatically look at their both hands being separated. "Baek."

Baekhyun's jaw clenched together, making his veins visible, and his eyes even more watery. "You-you know what Chanyeol?!" Baekhyun scream a little bit, he looks deeply to Chanyeol's eyes making sure Chanyeol feels the same as he is. "You are so selfish, that you only think about YOUR feelings and not thinking about how our 10 years friendship will ended. Yo-you don't know that feelings of yours will affect us!" Chanyeol's eyes now full of guilt, looking at the petite boy shedding his tears like waterfall, hearing the petite boy sobs as he is talking, how he is now trying to handle this situation. "Why would you want us to be more than friends?! When what you needed is already in our 10 years friendship, it's like everyday we do! I've been there for you when you needed me, we always be together CHANYEOL!" Baekhyun screams. He does not care how loud he screams, because they are in their tree house, far from any neighborhood.

Chanyeol can't mutter a word, he is just keep biting his lower lips, feeling guilty of all he just did. Chanyeol processed Baekhyun's words carefully. He nodding to himself, and with heavy heart deciding this decision. "Okay." Chanyeol whisper. "Just forget of what I said. We..." He gulps, trying to swallow all the words that his heart want to spill. "We can just be friends." Even those alphabets makes his heart crack, but it's the only way to take Baekhyun back. But the unexpected always there to ruin you.
