What are dreams?
From Ancient Greek and Romans through Sigmund Freud in the late 1800s, man has queried what the mystical stories that play out in the sleeping mind are and why we have them.
Dreams are the involuntary conjuring of images, sounds, ideas, and feelings as well as other sensations during sleep. Dream imagery is usually fanciful and not realistic and they are generally outside the control of the dreamer, with the exception of lucid dreaming. Dreamers are usually participants in their dreams and the dreams will seem real while asleep.
