"T-Tyler what are you doing!?" Josh ran over to him and took the blade from the floor. Tyler hugged the corner , looking down at his lap, the blood soaking his jeans. Josh grabbed a towel and wrapped his arm in it, carefully applying pressure. he grabbed another to wipe the tears from Tylers face.
"why did you do that?" Josh looked into his eyes, trying to understand.
"you wont get it" he replied, his voice barely audible.
"i cant get it if you dont try to explain it"
"im addicted.."
"what do you mean?"
"when someone is addicted to something, it just means they keep doing it, theres a trigger for it. for me when im upset, or well, suicidal, i replace that feeling of death with addiction. its hard to stop even though i want to. i cant control it josh i cant!" His voice continues to get louder and he cries uncontrollably.
Josh rubs his back and whispers over and over "its okay, i understand."
"what do i do?" Tyler asks after is is slightly more calmed down.
"here," Josh takes a blue pen out of his pocket, its almost the same shade as his hair, "use this."
"w-what do you mea-"
"when you feel your addiction coming through use this and draw little spirals on the places you feel like cutting. It will calm you down."
He rolls up his sleeve to reveal red and purple spirals covering his arms.
"wow." is Tylers only reply.
