Billy, Jacob and Sam enter the room of Declan Cullen who is silently laying in his bed.

"Declan?"

Glancing to the door Declan grins weakly. "Hey, guys."

"I heard you saved Bella, you're a hero man."

Chuckling quietly Declan responds.

"I couldn't let your crush get hurt, now could I?"

"Shut up." Jacob mumbles despite the amused grin on his lips.

"Hey Sam, Billy."

"Hey Declan, how you feeling man?"

"My head hurts, and I feel like I've been hit by a truck. But I've had worse."

Sam smiles lightly before taking a step back. "I'll wait outside, come on Jake."

"What? I just got here."

"Billy has to talk to Declan, alone."

With a small frown Jacob conceded following Sam outside, Declan clears his throat. "What did you need to talk to me about?"

Wheeling closer to the bed Billy sighs.

"Declan, son. You know in our tribe. We have the elders."

"Yeah, they oversee and give guidance to all of the people on the reservation."

"Yes, but they also tell us of prophecies."

"Prophecies?" He reiterates while Billy nods.

"Yes, prophecies. And they have told me about one...that mentions you."

With eyebrows knit in curiosity Declan shifts in his resting position.

"What about me?"

"That you're going to be the savior."

"The savior to what, exactly?"

"Vampires and shifters alike."

He scoffs in denial. "That's impossible, I'm human. There is nothing special about me."

"Your eyes."

"What about my eyes?"

"They are different colors."

Declan nods slightly not wanting to irritate his already aching head.

"Yeah, it's heterochromia. My irises are different colors. Brown and blue. It's a rare condition."

"You see both the earth and the heavens, legends say that two colored eyes can see what others can't."

"And what exactly is it that I can see that no one else can?"
