Chapter Five“Honestly, (Name) what has gotten into you?” asked Allister as he furrowed an eyebrow.
Arthur tapped his fingers on his desk impatiently as Jett averted all his attention to his koala.
“I don’t know.” She mumbled, refusing to look at him in the eye.
Arthur sighed, “Well as long as she’s safe then we’re fine, right?”
Jett and Allister nodded in agreement.
“Well besides the fact that she BLOODY LOCKED US UP IN THE F-CKING CLOSET- IF I HAD A CHOICE I WOULD KILL YOU FOR THAT BUT NO GENTLEMAN IS ELIGIBLE TO HURT A WOMAN. OH GOD, YOU SICKEN ME.”
“CALM, CALM!” (Name) yelled. This only angered the captain more.
The glared at each other for a while, as if it was a deathstare showdown.
“You guys fight like an old married couple…” Allister and Australia told, beckoning the pair to kiss.
(Name) and Arthur looked at each other, then down at their feet. Their faces painted red in embarrassment. Silence filled the room and she, (Name), could sense an awkward atmosphere arising.
Suddenly, a young boy came out under the desk and pulled Arthur’s pants down. He was about the height of (Name)’s waist.
The girl gawked in awe; she then covered her mouth and took a few steps away, as she began to snicker.
She gave a smile to the young boy who looked no different than Arthur. Well, except for his sapphire blue eyes that sparkled under the sun’s rays. He was rather small and childish for his age, twelve, to be exact. Yet, he had a smile that made her feel a little comfortable.
“Victory!” Said he, making Arthur jolt to pull his pants back up. He scowled at the boy, but his attention turned towards (Name), who was wiping a tear from her eye.
“Hello..” He started, awkwardly and suddenly began to hide behind his older brother, Jett.
“Hello.” (Name) spoken gently, her words soft and inviting. She walked towards him and pinched one of his cheeks. This sent the boy to a blush. He grabbed her right hand. “I— My name, I meant, is Peter Kirkland. Although, I’m not quite fond of my surname. So it’s alright to call me Peter.” He said, rubbing an arm, (Name) ruffled his blonde hair with a free hand. “I’m (Name), (Name) (Last name).”
Arthur clenched his fist, a feeling of jealousy grew inside him. “Peter, you’re such a nuisance. Have not I told you to stick at home, where you belong?”
The small child poked his tongue out. The captain’s patience was running low. Perhaps like a volcano spitting out molten rock or lava was the best way to describe it. Peter tugged on (Name)’s skirt and shot a cold glare at Arthur, his older brother.
“Artie, you can have all the girls you want, but she, (Name), I meant is mine.”
Jett felt the tension emerging. He sighed. ‘“Somethin’s wrong, mate.” He whispered to the Scottish next to him who silently agreed.
“Aye lad, Nothing ever goes right when Peter’s on board.” Allister replied, kept a close eye on (Name).
“Peter-dear, are you hungry?” (Name) asked. The child’s blue eyes gleamed happily. “Oh yes!”
“Don’t take much time, you two. After all, (Name)’s still got errands to run.” Allister notified, thinking of a way to throw (Name) away from the ship and find a place where he can assure that she’ll be safe.
