Nicole's POV-
Since Trisha and Niall will be away for 3 weeks, that leaves me, Louis, and Raylin all to ourselves. Were going house hunting next week so for the time being this is home.
Once the newlyweds car pulled out of the driveway, I smiled to myself and walked over to the couch. I laid back onto the pillow and turned on the TV, I began channal searching and finally landed on one of my all time favorite shows Family Fued. As I intently watched the two families battling it out, I heard a ear shierking cry. I paused the show and jumped up, running up the stairs as fast as I could until I reached the nursery.
"Mommy's coming" I called gasping for breath, as I turned the corner I seen Louis holding her in his arms tears rolling down his cheeks.
"She will not stop crying, I tried everything! What if she hates me?" he sobbed handing her over to me
"Aw baby, shes just hungry look" I said gesturing to her small lips smacking together
I walked over to the rocking chair in the corner of the room and sat down, I then reached over and grabbed a blanket that had the name 'Raylin' sprawled acrossed it in silver letters. I quickly unbuttoned my shirt and wrapped her in the blanket, once my shirt was unbuttoned she quickly latched on sucking harshly.
"Does that hurt?" Louis asked wiping his eyes
"Yeah but the doctor said I will get used to it" I explained looking up, "Oh and Lou?"
"Yeah?"
"Your a great father" I smiled
Louis's POV-
I walked over to where Nicole was sitting with Raylin on the rocking chair, I sat on the arm of the chair and admired how good Nicole was with her. She suddenly looked up and caught me staring, instead of scolding me for watching her breastfeed she leaned up and kissed me lightly on the lips.
"She's about done, did you want to burp her?" she asked, looking back down at our beautiful daughter who eyes were slowly closing.
"Yeah, I've got it" I said happy to help out
"Okay here you are" she muttered handing Raylin over to me
I held her over my shoulder and softly patted her back while rocking from side to side, after about a minute of doing so a little noise errupted from the babies small lips. I laughed alittle and looked at Nicole who was closing her eyes, I tiptoed over to the rocking chair and softly grabbed Raylin's blanket out of her hands. When I successful grabbed it without waking Nicole up I swaddled Raylin in the cloth and gently placed her back into her crib.
"Lou?" Nicole asked softly
"I'm here baby, lets go to bed yeah?" she nodded and got up from the chair, but before she walked out of the room I picked her up bridal style and walked over to our room.
When we arrived I set her down on the soft mattress, I turned around and got some shorts out to wear to bed. I swiftly put them on, turning around to head back to the bed, but when I did so I found Nicole softly snoring.
I chuckled, and strolled to my side of the bed. I laid down flicking off the light as I did so, I kissed Nicole's forehead and whispered a 'goodnight' before falling into a deep sleep.
*******
It was no surprise when I was awakened by the screams of my daughter, in attempt to let Nicole rest I decided to calm Raylin down. I'm pretty sure she stored some bottles in the fridge. As I rushed to her nursery, I tripped on my feet at least 10 times.
What can I say? I'm tired...
