"Stop it Tania!" I heard him call. I smiled and sat on the grass making my white gown dirty. He glared at me and sat down beside me, he rubbed away the mud in my face and kissed my forehead. "Why do I love you?" He asked while kissing the back of my hands. I blushed a bit and shrugged.

"You know this won't last long right?" He said laying his head on the crook of my neck. I stopped fiddling my fingers with his and looked at him. "What do you mean?" I asked confused.

"You'll get tired of me," he said while looking at my hand which was holding his right one. I freed my other hand and cupped his face, "Love, I will never ever get tired of loving you," I assured him while kissing the tip of his nose. "Just promise me that you'll stay," I pleased looking him in the eye with worry. "I can't promise love," he said his eyes holding the same sorrow I held.

I know he can't just say that he'll quit the army, I know he has his duty. But loosing him is like loosing myself. The war will be starting soon, soon they will need him. And soon, the risk of loosing him will grow until it eats me alive. "Just promise me to be safe." I plead while hugging his arm.

I don't want to let go of this man, I love him too much to let him go. "I can't promise that either..."

I hugged him tighter assuring myself that he will never disappear. I don't want him to leave me, I don't want to be left alone anymore.

"But I do promise to love you until my very last breath." he said grabbing my chin and placing a kiss on my lips. I felt hot tears pour from my eyes making our kiss sweet and at the same time, salty. ' I'm not ready to let you go '

I woke up from a memory making me stand up and drink the water on my side table. Blinking repeatedly while doing so, another dream.

Another sweet dream.

I wish I could remember who he was, I wish I could but God knows I can't just open up my skull and force it. I got up from my bed and walked towards the bathroom to wash my face. With a clean face towel I tried my face and applied a small amount of make up.

"Hey Tanny it's Asia, we miss you, hope you're safe there."

"Visit us okay? Vince misses you terribly, call me when you get this okay?"

I sighed and ignored the voicemail, it's been like this since Vince's birthday at the beach. I thought it would've been nice to bring his dad along, but I didn't know Asia would burst out like that. I didn't want to cause anymore trouble, I just said goodbye the day after. I left Colorado and moved to Washington, while doing so I started to look for a job. But even if I did move she would still call me and say sorry. I made my mistake and I don't want to do that again.

Preparing myself for the day before I make my way to the office. I got into my working attire, taking my bag and keys, and just sped off to the near coffee shop.

"Hi Tanny!" A colored girl said with a gentle smile. "Hi Tawna," I smiled back.

"I'll reckon you'd want your usual?" She said giving me a pointed look. I nodded as she laughed while getting my drink ready. The coffee shop was small and cozy, not very busy or known but enough for costumers to keep coming back. I looked at the dessert rack and saw some cakes. "Tawna, I would like this lovely cheesecake please," I said.

"Anything for you sweetheart," she winked as she took a slice of cake placing it in a small plastic box. "In the house," she winked.

"Thank you, you are too kind," I smiled. She gave me my beverage and the cheesecake, and off I went off.

Making my way to hail for a cab, there I always saw a familiar cab driver. "Hello there Weslie," I greeted.

"Oi, if it isn't my favorite little lady," he smiled. "Good morning Weslie," I greeted as I went inside the cab. As always the cab smelled lovely and welcoming not like the ones that smelled like suffocating chemicals.

"How is you morning Ms. Averdale?" He asked with a smile. "Lovely Wes, just lovely."

We stopped in front of a white building full of rushing businessmen and clerks. "Thank you again Wes," I said as I paid the toll and walked towards the building. Everyone greeted me with a smile, well being the CEO's secretary is a very fulfilling job. But the odd thing is that I have never seen my boss.

"Good morning Tania," a worker greeted me with a very polite smile. "Hello Janice," I replied as I punched in my floor.

"I heard the boss is going to take you to a meeting today," she grinned while taking a sip of coffee.

"Where ever did you hear that?" I chuckled taking a sip from my beverage. "I just scooped it from our department head," she said. The floor opened for her floor.

"See you around Tania," she waved and stepped out the elevator. I smiled as a response as the doors closed but was stopped by a man in a black Armani suit. He had jet black hair and piercing eyes, he was dashing. Absolutely dashing.

"Good morning," I said in haste, trying to not sound like a fool. He just nodded and punched in his floor number, surprising that he is also going to the same floor as I am.

He might be a department head or something right?

A few floors passed we remained silent, then the elevator stopped causing my heart to stop as well. "Tania, make sure to get the maintenance department to get this elevator fixed," the man said.

I am surprised that he knows me, but I quickly obliged and called the maintenance. "Yes, this is Tania. I am currently in elevator 3, it stopped please fix it right now."

"Okay sir, the maintenance said it will be done in half an hour," I said with assurance. He just nodded. I observed him, he has a well built body that fitted his suit well. His green piercing eyes screamed mystery, he has a strong jawline. Obvious that he needs a shave but at the same time it suited him.

"Miss Tania I believe the elevator is fixed now, you can stop staring at me," he snapped.

I blushed of embarrassment and just looked at my feet. Goodness he has a very handsome accent!

"Call the board that the meeting is rescheduled later this afternoon," I raised my eyebrow at him. Who is he for me to take orders.

Later on he went inside the office there I realized, that the man I was with in the elevator. Is my boss Lincoln Sawyer.
