"Here it is-"
The crazy brunette stood in front of the cafe with her hands on her hips, as if she was the first to discover the place.
According to Petra the new cafe was an expansion of the Survey Corps but under different managment. It opened yesterday and everyone was already loving it. Apparently they had very good waiters or some shit like that.
"Okay, let's go see how it is."
On the outside the cafe looked nothing like The Survey Corps. It had the word 'Titans' writtten in bold capital letters with a naked giant holding on to the capital T as if it would jump it any moment. The rest of the shop looked cosy and you could make out a library through the glass doors. They have books?
Growing up, my parents didn't really allow my friends to come over and of cource me leaving the house at such a young age was out of the question. If it hadn't been for books I would have been even lonelier than before.
"Shorty, are you coming?"
I rolled my eyes and slammed the back of her head. It was true that I was shorter than the average male, but that didn't mean she could call me that.
"Shitty Idiot'" I muttered under my breath as she stared cackling like a maniac. Oh wait, she is a maniac.
Erwin held the door open for us as we entered the small coffee shop, the smell of cinammon hitting us right in the face like a paliroic wave. It was a pleasant smell. Better than the mossy smell the cafe next door offered.
We chose to sit at the table nearest to the library as I had persisted. Being terrified of my death glare they had sat there without whining too much.
Even in the morning hours the shop was almost full, with people of all ages talking and laughing over a steamy mug with whatever they had ordered. The waiters all seemed to have a polite smile on their faces as they made light discussions with the costumers.
"I'm taking the Mermaid Frappuccino, what about you guys?"
"There is a Mermaid Cappuccino?"
"According to the menu yes!"
Hanji's eyes basically sparkled at the sound of mermaid. She was one of those people who believed that things like mermaids, fairies, and ghosts existed and she all but craved to hold one of these unreal creatures to analyse. Thing is they don't really exist but try telling bat-shit-crazy Hanji that.
"I'll have some Earl tea, with extra sugar." Everyone turned to look at me as if I had said France belonged to Russia. "What?'"
They just shook their heads and went back to skimming through the menu. After they decided what they wanted Mike called over a waiter. Once she came closer I realised all of them were wearing black pants and white blouses with the logo written in the same red print as the one outside the cafe.
"Hello, are you ready?" Obviously!
Ewin said our orders to the petite blonde who was smiling at us politely. With a bored look in my silver eyes I gazed around the shop only to see another small blondette similar to the one in front of us.
"Do you have a twin?" I couldn't help but ask. Things like these irked me to the bone and I just had to know. Twins always made me think back to myslelf. I tried to shut that mental door, not wanting to remember.
"Um... yes, that's my twin brother Arwin."
She expected me to say something but I just nodded and sunk back into my thoughts. The girl left to get our drinks while everyone else quicly got into a discussion of whether pigs would be tempted to eat a piece of bacon.
