So for a few months your grandma & grandpa, & their team from the Laboratory went to the community & gave the people there food, fresh water, & medicine. Your grandfather re-tested the medicine , he put a lot of erbs in instead of the spider venom because, he knows that the spider venom would be too powerful especially for the young children. The community felt really grateful that your grandma & everyone else was helping them out even though they know it was illegal for them to do so. However one dark summer night, a huge group of army men ambused the laboratory where everything was chaotic. They arrested all of them there including your grandparents, but the two of them tried to physically fight them off. Some of the army men wonder why your grandmother was so physical strong when she was disabled. The army men eventually sudued both of them & took them outta the laboratory. When they were outside, they seen all the people from the community including the children arrrested & put back of their trunks. Then they smiled smoked & they over at there place & they burned everything down. She was so upset by this. They took everyone off the island beach & took them to jail. When they got to the jail, they interrogated each & every single one of them. She was terrified, but she held up her own during her interrogation. Hours later she & your grandfather found out that someone who worked with them at the laboratory ratted them out that they were illegally feeding & giving the people in the community those medicine. They both were shocked & felt betrayed especially your grandfather because he work so hard trying to help these people. Later they were appointed a lawyer who was representing them both together & figure out a plan on how to get out of this.
A week later, they both had their hearing, but before the hearing, they met with their lawyer & she told them that the sentences for them would life in prison. At first she was scared when she heard, but your father came up with big plan on how to avoid the life prison sentiences, so she & lawyer listen to his plan. Now during the hearing the judge in their case asked them how to they plead, but the lawyer said instead of them pleading guilty or not guilty, there was a huge alternative suggestion. That your grandfather Dennis Lai, your grandmother Natasha Dane Som, & their team trained to fight the government's army in mini battle on freeing the people from the community. If Dennis & Natasha's team wins, the community people will be free & they would have access to to food & heathcare, & the government would leave them for good, never to both them again. However if they army the government sends to fight them wins, then they would serve their life sentences, & imprisonment the community people. The lawyer gave the judge their opposable on paper, he look at for a bit & minutes later approve it. He tells them that the battle would in a month on the island beach near the laboratory. So for now they were free to go now, & started their training for their freedom & life.
They won battle, from what I know your grandma beat off dozens of soldiers with her sword, only using the her right hand. Your grandfather had gotten injured in the battle, but eventually recovered afterwards. A few months after the battle, the community were free to go, & do what they wanted, live their lives. Both your grandfather & grandma decided to leave the team & the laboratory to go & make fresh started in the states. He had family living in Stockton, California, so they decided to go there & lived there. They eventually move to Sacramento after a few years, until they finally settled here in Santa Barbara.
