Finally, it was Friday. Brenna took a big sip of her coffee as she typed away furiously on her computer. It was almost time for her to leave, and she had no intention of staying late on the last day of the work week. Brenna was able to calm herself down since the first time that she met Adam on Monday and had barely had any interaction with him the rest of the week. He was clearly a very busy man. He was constantly walking around the facility with his head phones in, talking a mile a minute to God knows who. It didn't even seem like he got a chance to even sit down and breathe throughout the day and he was always still at the office whenever she left for the day. She thought about Megan telling her that he is out of town a lot. She wondered to herself how much time he spent at home, and how his wife dealt with it.
Brenna let out a satisfactory sigh as she closed her laptop and stuff it in her large purse. She was glad that it was Friday and that she had the whole weekend to relax. Just as she reached to turn her lamp off, there was a soft knock on the door.
"Come in," she stated, not bothering to look up from her task of gathering her things.
"Hey." His voice was soft yet confident and sounded like warm honey to her ears. Brenna's head whipped up at the sound of Adam's voice. He gave her a soft smile and closed the door gently behind him and then leaned against it. "You out of here?"
"Yeah, finished right on time," she said with a nervous chuckle.
"Good," he said with a yawn.
"Busy day?" She asked tentatively. She didn't know what his boundaries were like...but then again he did just invite himself into her office and she didn't know why.
"Busy life," he said with a lop sided smile.
"Do you ever slow down?"
"Not really."
"Oh." She felt awkward and extremely nervous for some reason. She wasn't sure what to say. Was it rude to excuse herself and leave? Did he want to talk to her?
"Listen, I have a favor to ask of you," he stated as he turned his body towards her, locking eyes with hers.
"Ok."
"You know how we just purchased the other building? Well I was going to come in and paint it tomorrow while no one is around. I was wondering if you could help me. I overheard you talking to Megan about your painting skills the other day. And plus, I kinda just want the company," he added the last part with a charming chuckle.
Her eyes blinked rapidly and her breathing sped up. She was trying to push the words out of her mouth but her brain was going at full speed. She was confused as to why he wanted her help painting. There were plenty of other people in the office that he could ask. But maybe he did ask other people too. Why was he looking at her like that? Like he was hungry for something that she had...?
"You can say no, Brenna."
"No, no it's fine. I'd love to help you. You just caught me off guard, that's all."
"Great! I'll see you tomorrow, bright and early. Enjoy your night," he said with a nod of his head before walking out of the office.
Brenna sat in her seat with her purse hanging off of her shoulder and her with her mouth slightly agape, still confused and dumbfounded at the exchange that just happened. She shook the thoughts out of her head as she stood up. He probably asked a multiple people in the office to help, and it would be a team effort. She convinced herself of this possibility more and more as she walked down the hallway, through the front door, and towards her awaiting car.

"So, let me get this straight," Brenna's best friend and roommate, Mary, stated as she plopped down on the couch next to her, handing her one of the glasses of wine that she held in her hand. "Your boss is super hot and sexy, probably rich or is getting richer everyday, and asked you to come in on your day off and help him with a task?"
