“Ack!” you grunt as you try to open the door, panic soon making itself at home in your mind. “This is not good- why won’t it budge?” giving the door a few more hopeless yanks as if to prove your statement to an invisible audience you sigh shakily before turning around. You slowly scan your surroundings whilst fiddling with your hands anxiously, as if waiting for something, or someone, to jump out at you. Looking around you see that the hall was dimly lit by candles and some electrical appliances here and there, some sunlight barely peeking through most curtains. Your eyes then widened at the idea that suddenly came to you, running over to a window you push the curtains aside to get a look at the window. Glancing over at the window your excitement suddenly died down when you saw it was glass pane, un-openable unless smashed. Though looking at the individual metal barring that held each separate colour and shape of glass together, you noticed they were all simply too small to crawl through if you were to smash it.
Sighing in disappointment you continue to scan your surroundings in hopes of finding another means of escape, if only you could use your phone, perhaps it would have reception now? You then remembered how you awoke to having found it to be missing. Seeing as there wasn’t many other options left, the most reasonable thing to do, you thought in that situation, was to find your phone and pray that it had at least some reception.
Making your way towards a large door under the balcony you couldn’t help but feel the eyes of another watching as you passed the shadows of the stairs. Looking over your shoulder you hold your breath, eyes scanning for the ‘watcher’ whom you felt confident was indeed watching you at that moment. However seeing nothing but the emptiness of the entrance hall you breathe again before making your way through the large doors to find a huge open space with multiple doors on each side, and chandeliers of many sizes hanging from the roof. You had no idea where to even begin searching, which didn’t help seeing as you just wanted to get out as soon as you could.
You felt like you were going absolutely crazy in here!

Having spent most of the day wandering aimlessly around many rooms, you hadn’t been disturbed by your watcher at all. But to your dismay you still hadn’t found your phone or any clues as to where it may be.
It was obvious by now to you that this watcher was keeping you here and just plain toying with you. Maybe he wanted to kill you? But if this was the same person you encountered the previous night then he was definitely not your mundane crazy human. Just thinking about the possibility of him really not being human, and possibly being the one behind all this, just freaked you out even more than before and made you feel like a rat trapped in a closed maze with a cat.
Suddenly you hear the grumbling of your own stomach complaining to you about having lacked something decent to eat in a while. Sighing, you look down at your stomach just to whisper “yes yes. I know you’re hungry. But we’re kinda in a pretty serious situation here. I don’t have time to think about foo-" cutting your sentence off, you sniff the air. Something smelt good, like freshly cooked food. The gorgeous smell of well cooked food wafted in through your nose and lingered in your mind, it was almost like an appetiser, getting a pre-taste of the food without actually having to eat any of it. It smelt absolutely irresistible to you in that moment of hunger, and you were ravenous and desperate for something to eat by now.
The whole ordeal really has had its toll on you, emotionally and physically.
In hopes of finding and being able to sneak some food you followed the trail of delectable wafts of chicken, roasted vegetables, rice and many other delicious foods that you could smell till finally you came to a door that led into a dining hall. And right before your eyes laid out was a feast fit for a king! How or why so much food was in one spot, you didn’t know, but being too hungry to really think properly about it, you didn’t really care.
