I ran out the bedroom and hid behind a brick wall. I heard sounds...sounds of someone I knew. "Sam!!!!!" yelled and then realized it. I had about a 2 second head start, so I just ran as fast as I could. I ran out the building and into the forest. There were sounds of sticks snaping from behind me. I couldn't stop running, but I also couldn't leave without Sam. I thought for a moment. I stoped turned around and went back for Sam. I dodged all of them and then smacked someone on the head on accident. I saw someone take Sam up the stairs and in a room. They had close the gate. I never thought I would do this but it was necessary. It had to be done. I hurled up and curled into a ball trying to cover my head the best that I could. I went through the glass window and fell onto the floor. A piece of glass was sticking in my leg straight up. the horrifing pain struck my leg and tears rolled into my eyes, but I pushed them away. The blood from my leg dripped down onto my shoe and left a stain on the ground. I pulled out the piece of glass and threw it on the floor. Finally, when I grew strong enough to get back up, I limped all the way the stairs and to the room. I could hear Sam crying and the man saying," Shut up you little rat."

How dare he call him a rat. I kicked open the door with my other leg, grabed Sam, tied the man up, and then Sam and I ran to the back door. We ran to the forest where no one could see us anymore. I finally got to sit down in peace and wash the blood off my leg. It was beganing to get dark so I went to the lake where Sam made me a hook ( Sam is really good at making things) and I caught some fish for dinner. Sam sat next to the fire I made. We ate like mayneaccs. We hadn't eaten in days, so what did you expect. "It is getting dark lets just stay here for the night." I said with a worried look on my face.

The next morning I woke and heard Sam screaming for help! I jumped on to my feet and raced through the woods yelling," Sam! Where are you?" Then I saw him. He was sitting next to someone. As I got closer I realized that I knew this someone. It was Max! He was unconious and soaking wet. I pressed his chest multiple times, nothing happened. Then suddenly he started coughing and he slowly opened his eyes. I hugged him so tight I might have choked him. We layed him on the ground by the fire and I gave him something to eat. There was a smile across Sams face now. The first I've seen in what felt like ages.
