As I opened my eyes an unfamiliar light blinded me. I blinked a few times getting my eyes use to the sudden bright light, looking around I noticed I was in the middle of a breathtaking clearing in a  forest and I was alone. The trees surrounding the clearing stood tall and wide and loomed over the clearing casting a shadow over it. The ground was covered with green grass and flowers of all different colours from blue and pink to black and yellow. The aroma the flowers created was stunning and I couldn't help but want to smell all the flowers.

I could feel the warm summer wind whisking through the trees creating a soft and gentle song as it mixed with the sound of birds chirping. I smiled feeling the marvelous cozy summer air surround me, warming the skin not covered by my black shorts and tank top. Slowly I leaned backwards until I peacefully landed on the soft green grass tickling my bare arms and legs making my smile grow as I stared up at the sky, making out different shapes from the soft fluffy clouds above me.

Sighing peacefully I closed my eyes and allowed myself to relax into the soft grass. Everything was calm and quiet apart from the chirping of the birds. Despite my insomnia I could feel myself slowly falling out of consciousness, I wanted to struggle to stay awake, to stay in the beauty of the forest it was a lost fight and I soon fell asleep.

As I opened my eyes, darkness soon consumed me, surrounding me as I struggled to realize that I was back in my bedroom laying peacefully in my bed. The harsh sting of reality soon set in and I realized that it was nothing more than a beautiful, horrible, teasing dream.
