The kingdom of zentirius

Chapter 2 | Hope

I look into my mothers eyes as she pats the stop on the sofa next to her signalling that I should sit down , we sit there for a few minutes in pure silence until she said "Luke, I think you've realised by now that your quko has been ...well absent and as your mother I suspected this would happen because Luke since the day you were born you were..." my mum continued to fiddle with her fingers as she continued, my heart pounding wondering what she would say next," you were different, you never showed any magical potential and because of this I feel like I need to tell you about the other side to the story of the ancient times of zentirius..."

My mum led me down the stairs towards the study room when we entered the walls were lined with books or all categories from fantasy to fictional to romance to educational, if you wanted a book you'd find it here. She walked over to the section that held the fantasy books and pulled out a purple book half way as the faint sound of gears started and the two bookshelves parted to reveal a dimly light room covered in gold armour and many old dusty books that had shifting words as their titles," What is this place?!" I questioned," This is where the true story of zentirius lies , inside this very book."

My mum walked over to a blue and gold pedestal that held a red leathered book with gold italic writing that reads "The ancient time if zentirius vol 2 | The magetics." A large dust cloud appeared as she opened the book that filled my nostrils and made me cough," let us start from the beginning as we know in the ancient times of Zentirius the ruler Gimous summoned animal spirits from the goddess Artemus and gifted them to his warriors and the descendants of these warriors got the same animal spirits but if you do not know is that there is a special type of descendant that is very very powerful, more powerful than the original warriors themselves these people are called "The magetics" these descendants would have not shown any magical potential in younger years as the magic was harder to reach and too powerful so the human body has learnt to contain it therefore even at their 16th birthday they will not find their quko so do you find that they will have to use the enagic crystal that can unlock their magical abilities unfortunately when the darkness consumed Zentirius the crystal was lost and many are to believe was protected by the only dark magical force left in this kingdom that's the spirit animals were not able to destroy and that the king contained inside the envan sisters mountain apparently located in the Nogjin Forest" my mum finished reading the book to me , the book that contained the part of zentirius I didn't know and probably contains more secrets.

By now I peiced together the peices and knew what I was,"by now Luke you probably worked out that you are a magetic and I know you'll have to do a lot of preparation to prepare you for the journey you're about to take but I believe in you lukey and on your journey to the envan sisters Mountain I would like you to take this book with you it contains the whole of the side of Zentirius that I know you will need on your journey." " Mum this is slit to take in I mean one minute I was in my bed being a normal young man and now I'm going on a journey to the Envan sisters mountain that might not even exist but if I do go on this journey and want to be really dangerous I need some kind of protection of someone to go with me" I asked shocked and confused,"that is why I am enlisted your sister to go with you on this journey" she said " But Mum Willow hasn't been outside the training grounds at all and she isn't filled trained to be any kind of guard yet!" "Luke , your sister may not be qualified to be an official guard but she is trained well enough to be your guard and hopefully teach you a few things in time for when u find the crystal and get your quko." She said as we walked out of the room closing its book cases doors and heading back to the living room.

" but mum if the king is keeping the crystal under protection then why don't we just ask him to unprotected it so I can find my quko and like you said unlock immense magic that can be useful to the king to fight against any darkness?" " because The last time he did that the up-and-coming Guard went rogue and turned into this dark evil being that almost took down the whole kingdom of Zentirius so if we did do what you suggest he will probably lock us up in the prisons for eternity!" "So what do I do now? I have to basically prepare to go on a journey to find this crystal that I probably might not be able to even get because if that dark force and the king protecting it." "Well your sister will help train you even though you have no ability to share any magic now she will be up to train you how to use non-magical abilities in case you come across any disturbances." I walked over and sat down on the sofa trying to still comprehend all the things I found out that one day.

That night as I went to bed I couldn't sleep , I kept on tossing and turning with my small mind filled with these words and feelings swimming around in my brain preparing me for a whole different life...
