chapter 3|dreams

~I've added "a million dreams" cause I love the greatest showman and also I thought it fits well with this chapter. Hope you enjoy ～

*flash*a giant red light burst out of her as a demon appeared in her place" please!....... NO!!" The soulless dead body of my sister lay before me as a waterfall of tears formed in my eyes," WILLOW, NO!!!" I say in between tears....*flash* I sat bolt up right.

My eyes bolted open as sweat dropped down from my face , i looked at my pyjamas, they were soaked. What was that dream?

I slowly got up from my bed and to the kitchen, I almost forgot about what happened yesterday and honestly I'm glad I did forget; I'm not ready for something like that, it's just too dangerous.
I grabbed a carton of milk and I poured it , still thinking about what happened, why me ? Why couldn't I have just been normal and why wasn't I told this earlier, I just wanted to sink into the ground and hide away. I got a cookie from the cabinet and sat down on the sofa thinking that if I read and listen to some music I'll be fine. I got my phone and played "burned out" by dodie and picked up "Zentirius beasts" ( what? Just cause this is a universe with magic doesn't mean we can't have phones) as I read through the book I felt myself mesmerised by a picture of a boy with bleach white hair and fangs laced into his smirk , my eyes darted to the writing above it " vampires " it read I couldn't help but keep reading about them , sometime looking back at the picture of the boy.

The basic gist I got is that vampires are usually hostile creatures that sometimes suck the blood from people's chest but usually they just get it from their necks. Luckily not all vampires are hostile as recently groups of vampires who all respect the humans , although still having the vampire tendency of wanting blood, got together and started a pack where they would ask for human volunteers to supply them with blood and then they would ration the blood as so to get used to not having a constant hunger for blood. This worked and now those vampires barely need human blood at all.

My interest in the book was cut short as my sister walked in making me close it swiftly before standing up,awkward silence fell on the room as I was considering walking away when she said,"so mum tells me I'm going to be your body guard .....and so she said you don't need to learn to fight but I can't be protecting every second so .....your gonna learn to fight whether you like it or not." I opened my mouth to speak but my sister grabbed my arm and took me out into the garden before I could say a word.

I kept on trying to protest but she would just cut me off every time by saying, "this is for your own good". We went out to the open garden and she grabbed a wooden sword from the stand and threw it at me as I fumbled to catch it, " you really think I'll be able to learn to fight in only 3 days?" I said with a raised eyebrow, " No, probably not but Mum told me to and plus I get to boss you around." I sighed as my sister recited the basic training strategy to me. "When you hit them with the end of your sword you need to follow through, you can't just stop." I stubbled a bit as I followed through with the hit.

We practiced like this for 3 days straight and with many many failed attempts I finally learned the basics of fighting. "Now remember , these are just the basics so don't get too cocky whilst your fighting because you never know how strong you opponent could be." My sister told me sternly.

"I've packed your bags with all you'll need; your phone , some snacks , your teddy , the book, some water , spare clothes, pjs, and some medical stuff like bandages and healing potions." , " thanks mum, we'll miss you." , "I'll miss you too sweethearts, now go and unlock your future." We walked down the winding road and over the village barrier , " you ready?" I asked my sis, "nope, let's go."
