Mal's POV
"Get up you lazy ass" Paris said whacking me with a pillow
"Please try and wake me up nicely. That's why I prefer waking up with Mikey" I begged
"Yeah no" she said and walked downstairs
I checked my phone and I saw Mikey texted me

"So what are Mikey and you doing for your 1 month" Cara asked
"He won't tell me! These damn boys and surprising people" I shook my head laughing
"How did he tell you to dress" Paris asked
"Cute but casual and no heels" I said
"Yeah I got nothing" Aubree said and I went to look in my closet at what I have
"I don't know" I groaned and I looked at the clock and it said 2:15
"Shit" I mumbled and did my hair since my makeup was already done before I get dressed
"Ok now what" I asked looking through everything
To be fair, I have a walk in closet so that means a lot of clothes

Then I rushed downstairs at 2:29
"You have a history of not knowing what to wear" Aubree laughed
"Yeah I do" I chuckled as Mikey knocked on the door
"Mikeeyyeyyy" I sang and hugged him
"Happy one month baby girl" he smiled and I kissed him
"So, where are we going" I asked smiling hoping he would tell me
"If you think that'll break me, think again babe" he said slyly and I pouted
"Your pout is adorable but I'm not telling you anything" he laughed and I just looked at him mumbling
"Fine"
"I still love you babe but this surprise will mean more versus if I were to tell you" he explained resting his hand on mine rubbing the top of it
We were driving for about 30 minutes and we got to Staples Center
"What's happening here" I asked
"You'll see" he smirked and we got out of the car to go in line for whatever this was
Before we got in line, Mikey put a VIP lanyard around my neck. I look down and I see Shawn Mendes
"No" I gasped
"I know how much you love Shawn Mendes and a family friend had these two tickets and couldn't go so she gave them to me" he explained
I kissed him and we smiled at each other
"You are literally the best boyfriend ever" I smiled
"Yeah I know" he bragged and I rolled my eyes
"No way it's Mallory and Mikey" a fan said and they rushed over to us to take pictures
They even let us at the front of the line and then we went in and sat in the hallway for the q&a
"Hi guys" Shawn smiled and we told him hi
"So what are your questions" he asked
There were quite a few generic questions until one caught my attention
"Would you consider collabing with anyone" a girl asked
"I've wanted to collab with this one girl group that are blowing up called Impact they are incredible, especially Mallory she has such an amazing voice" Shawn explained
My mouth was wide
"You know she's here right" the girl said and everyone had me go to the front towards Shawn
And someone gave me a microphone
"Hey Shawn, so you obviously know who I am and we are so down for a collab" I smiled
"Awesome, come up here and we can sing together" he said and I went up to the mini stage

"Maybe Air" he said
I nodded and we started

"WOOOOO" everyone cheered and Shawn and I got a picture together before I walked back towards Mikey
"So where are our seats" I asked when the q&a finished and we were set free
"We are in the 2nd row" Mikey said
"Wow your family friend got some good seats" I gasped
"Yeah, she also gave them to me cause she knows how much you love Shawn Mendes since I talk about you a lot" he explained
"Awww, I do the same thing" I shrugged
"Actually, I want you to meet my family tomorrow on our off day. We're having a family party and they want you to come so they can meet you" Mikey proposed
"I'm down but your whole family at once" I winced
"And family friends" he said and my eyes bulged out of my head
"Oh boy" I mumbled and we found our seats
"These are so good" I said
"Yeah they are" he nodded and he hugged me

Halfway through the concert, Shawn started explaining
"So... tonight, I'm changing things up for this song. This song is a song I wrote awhile ago when things got a bit rough in my life, but there is someone in this audience I want to sing it with so Mallory Birkland, please come up and sing this song with me" Shawn explains and the security guard escorts me to the stage
"Hi everyone" I said and they went crazy as well
He started playing the guitar and I started the song

And the crowd went crazy. During the performance, everyone had their phone flashlights on swaying them to the song and they sang every word with us, it was truly amazing
"That's what fame feels like" I breathed when I went back to Mikey
"You did amazing baby girl, I'm so happy for you" he smiled and he kissed me
"Best day ever" I whispered in his arms as Shawn closed out the show
