The idea for this fic came from the following pic. It appeared on my fb page and it felt like a gift from the Gods above. Hope you lot enjoy it :) x
Ant and Dec were just normal teenagers. Texting girls, mates, each other and spending most of their lives glued to the screens of their phones. It was like any other night for the pair, texting one another back and forth and sending the occasional snapchat picture to show each other what they were up to. So when Dec's phone illuminated his bedroom as he tried to sleep naturally he ignored the Snapchat from Ant. It was probably something gross or completely unrelated to anything so it could wait until the morning. A few seconds later however the phone buzzed, once again lighting up the dark room. Dec let out an audible groan as he rolled over to check his phone.Reading the message through sleepy eyes Dec almost fell out of bed. He'd always had a little crush on Ant ever since they were young. And over the years he had, had multiple dreams of this moment. He could either ignore the Snapchat Ant was obviously meant to send to a girl (or boy neither had actually ever had a girlfriend or a boyfriend before) but that doesn't matter. Whatever that picture was, wasn't meant for Declan. But he wanted to see it so bad! Willing himself to try and go back to sleep Dec couldn't think of anything else other than what was on that snap.
Across town however Ant was slightly hoping Dec would take the bait and just open the damn picture. He'd sent to text to make it look accidental in case the reaction wasn't as he hoped. And now he was lying on his bed waiting to see if the little arrow had changed to signal the picture had been seen. Almost an hour ticked by and eventually the younger of the two fell asleep forgetting about the picture he had just sent his best friend.
However Dec couldn't sleep. His own imagination started to run wild just thinking of it. And as he grew more and more tired resisting the urge to open it became almost impossible. So he did it and as he did it without even thinking, almost like a natural instinct had taken over. He found himself stupidly taking a screen shot. Praying as he did it that by some twist of fate the notification of the screen shot being taken wouldn't show up on Ant's phone.
Now Dec had the picture saved on his phone but other than the quick few seconds he saw he couldn't bring himself to look at it. Eventually sleep over took the smaller boy and he also forgot about it all until morning when he would wake and remember the whole thing.
As his alarm clock rang through the bedroom Ant screwed his eyes shut wishing for 5 minutes more. He rolled over and retrieved his phone from the nightstand as he did this the phone lite up and the notification almost jumped from the screen. The teen nearly chocked on his own breath as he read 'Declan took a screenshot!'. How the hell was he going to face him in little over an hour? Yes he took the picture and sent it but he never thought Declan would actually look at it. Let alone take a screenshot of it.
Dec woke in much the same way as Ant, a large groan and then the realisation of what happened the night before. This time Dec went to his pictures and studied in much detail the newly saved image. It was like all his wildest dreams had come true but he also knew that meeting his best friend in the next hour was going to be awkward.
As always Dec came running up to the bus stop late and stopped dead in his tracks seeing Ant standing there. "Alright mate?" Dec spoke trying to not look awkward but didn't make eye contact. "Yeah I'm alright..umm look Decs....can umm...can we forget about..." Ant's sentence was cut short as Dec's lips met his. "Sorry I just" Dec stepped away his cheeks turning a deep shade of red. "It's fine Declan I liked it almost as much as I like you" Ant grinned. Now it was his turn to look shy and awkward. "I like you too" The older boy smiled. Ant pulled him in to a tight hug. "Alright well now thats sorted please delete that pic if it gets out I'm dead man!" Ant laughed into the hug. "But?" Dec looked Ant in the eyes with a cheeky grin. "Alright! keep it you little devil but if it gets out we are over!" The dark haired boy exclaimed.
Sorry rubbish ending as always I'm no good at them seriously!
