Seeking Octavia

The Transformation

  Welcome to the 4th official chapter of 'Seeking Octavia'. I'm very thankful for you all and love everyone of you guys. ~Ethan's POV~

 After Octavia dunked me, she jumped up out of the hot tub and started running. "OHH!!! It's on Octavia!!" I yelled as I ran after her, trying to dodge hot and sweaty bodies. 'Damn this girl is fast' I thought to myself. I just kept running until we reached the woods. As we ran into the trees and adrenaline flowing through my veins, something came over me. It was like I couldn't control my thoughts and my own body. I just had to sit there and wait for things to play out and I hoped that they would be alright.

  My body came creeping up to the edge of the tree line that surrounded a small field with a pond in the center. I crouched down when I noticed that I wasn't alone. Looking at the figure, I recognized it to be Octavia. Her small frame standing there admiring the water. Before I could acknowledge what was happening, whatever was controlling me pounced on her, pushing down on her chest. 

  I tried to regain control but I just couldn't. I used all of my strength and tried to find a weak point in whatever was holding my real self back. Once I found it I quickly got off of Octavia and said, "I'm so sorry! I have no clue what happened. One minute I'm fine and the next I can't control my own body." She didn't respond to me and that scared the living shit out of me.

    I grabbed her a brought her body to the water. I had heard myths about this pond holding special powers and no one knew what they were. I was just about to find out. Letting her body float in my arms she began to relax. When she did the water began to glow. I allowed the water to take her and do whatever it was doing because it seemed to work. I backed up out of the water just to see her eyes close and her body float limply on the water's surface. 

  I quickly got back in and picked her up bringing her back to shore. I lied her down on her back and sat there holding her hand. I sat there waiting for about 2 hours waiting to make sure that she was okay.

 Finally her eye slowly opened and she began looking around until her eyes landed on mine. Instantly she shot up and scrambled to get away from me. "Octavia, please, it's me. I'm not going to hurt you. Please calm down. You're alright." I said in a calming matter. She looked at me and asked, "Why did you hurt me?" My heart dropped. Did she really think that was me? "That wasn't me O. I couldn't control myself. It was like someone or something gained all control of my body not allowing me to stop myself. I'm so sorry that you got hurt."

She looked at me and came forward, placing her hand on my cheek. I took it in my hand and looked deeply into her eyes. "I would never hurt you. That wasn't me, I promise you." I slowly took her hand and brought her towns me into a hug. "I believe you Ethan. I'm sorry I accused you of such a thing." She apologized to me. "It's alright. You had a right to be scared." 

   I got up slowly and lifted her up with me. "Hop on my back. We will get there quicker." I told her   but right before she jumped on my back she screamed in pain. "O, tell me what's wrong. Are you alright?" I asked in a worried tone. In a strained voice she replied, "I don't know what wrong with me." She screamed again. Her bones began moving and breaking and I knew right away what was happening. "Octavia, listen to me. You are shifting into your wolf. I'll be here the whole time helping you through it and I'm going to tell you right now that it is almost unbearable. Everything will be alright. I'm here."
