Annie's pov.
We found out that Caleb was in a car crash. The word he said before he passed out were "the other two. They left," I haven't stopped crying. For 3 hours straight. Just... crying. I haven't let go of Hayley ever since I saw her. Im sitting next to Hayden. Hayley is on Hayden's lap. They have grown to be siblings almost. Hayden was my bestfriend before Hayley was born. We are all like family. But now that we are getting older. Dylan, hunter, jimmy and Caleb want us to date. I really like him. But now I don't know if I can even talk to Hayden without crying. We are sitting in a private family waiting room.the people here are my mom, Hayden's mom, my dad, hunter, and Hayley, me, Kenzie, Hayden and johnny. He was like a brother to Caleb. I wonder where everyone else is.
Hayden's pov
Hayley is asleep on my lap. Annie is holding her hand. Melissa runs through the door causing everyone to look up and wake hayley.
Melissa- DYLAN AND MADDIE! THEY WERE THE TWO CALEB WAS TALKING ABOUT. THEY WERE IN THE CAR WITH HIM.
Kenz. WELL WHERE ARE THEY?!
Melissa- Dylan was found up the road a little. He was passed out too. They still haven't found Maddie..
Just then a strecher came in with Dylan unconscious laying on it. My mom instantly Burst out crying. Hunter was comforting. I picked up Hayley and set her on Annie. I stood up and was going to walk up to the strecher but Annie grabbed my hand.
A- Hayden,
H- hmm?
A- let him be
H- why? He's my brother. Why can't I see him.
A. Caleb is my brother. I haven't seen him yet. And plus I kinda want you here with me.
Annie's pov
Hayden hesitantly sits Dow.
A. Thank you
H. Your welcome
He grabs my hand and I smile at him. Hayley crawls back onto Hayden's lap. We all fall asleep in the private waiting room.
*the next morning*
I wake up still holding Hayden's hand. I blush and get up. Hayden wakes up too and says.
H. Annie?
A. Yea?
H. Where are you going.
A. I'm going to get breakfast from the cafeteria. You want to come?
H. Yes.
A. Ok. Let's bring Hayley. I know if she wakes up and you or me aren't there she will be upset.
H. Ok
Hayden picks up Hayley. She wraps her legs around him and leans her head on his shoulder.
A. Is she heavy? I can carry her?
H. No. She's really light.
A. Ok. Thank you.
H. For carrying hayley? She's like my sister why wouldn't I carry her?
A. no. For everything. You are always here. I don't remember a time where you weren't here. I really am thankful for you. The time Paige was hurting me and she moved away from all of her family. You were there to help me. And when they thought I broke my leg and I couldn't do gymnastics anymore. You were there. And now, when Caleb is dying. You are here for me. But not only me. Hayley. She loves you. When Caleb is always gone with his friends. You are always there to play with her. And my parents love you. I just, I don't know where I would be in life without you.
H. Your welcome. Thank you for being here for me too. When my parents got divorced and my dad moved to Texas. I thought for sure I would always be sad like I was. But you were there. You say with me. Four hours and hours. Hugging me. And just talking. I don't know what it is about you but the things you say and your voice can put a smile on my face.
I smile at him and he grabs my hand. We walk to the cafeteria. Hayden sets Hayley down on a chair and I sit next to her. She lays her head on the table and continues to sleep. Hayden gets McDonalds breakfast sandwiches and comes and sits with me and Hayley. He sits next to me. Hayley wakes up and looks around, I can tell she doesn't know where we are. She's going to be devastated when I tell her we are still here for Caleb.
(Ha - Hayley)
Ha. Where are we?
A. We are here for Caleb.
Ha. What?! I thought that was just a dream.
A. Nope. It's real
She starts crying and she sits on my lap. I hug her and hear hayden quietly whisper "sister goal". I laugh and Hayden smiles at me.
A. Hay hay?
Ha. Yes?
A. Do you wanna go back upstairs?
Ha. Yes.
A. Ok.
We walk together up to the room. Hayley is holding my hand and Hayden is carrying the McDonald's. I open the door and see everyone crying. Oh no.
Annie. Omg what's wrong???!!!
Kenzie. Annie😭 Maddie. She's dead.
Ms Katie. Annie. Hayley. Caleb has passed away too.
A. WHAT??
Ha. mommy you are lying.
Tisha (Hayden's mom). Hayden. Dylan. He's passed aw-
Hayden. Mom STOP! your lying. Please tell me your lying!
Tisha. Baby I'm not.
I'm shocked. I start crying and sit next to Mackenzie. Hayden sits down next to me and Hayley sits on his lap. We all just sit there crying. Me and Kenzie hug eachother and say.
A. Kenzie. I love you. You have always been my bestfriend. I never want to lose you.
K. I never want to lose you either ans. I love you.
Someone burst through the door and I see hunter and Jimmy
Hayden's pov
Hunter and Jimmy burst through the door and I just look down. I really don't want to talk.
Jimmy. Hayden, are you ok?
Hayden. NO! Obviously not!!!
Hunter. Woah what happened.
Hayden. WHAT DO YOU MEAN WHAT HAPPENED?! mom did you not tell them?!
Tisha. Hunter Jimmy. Dylan has passed away. So has Caleb and Maddie.
Hunter sits down next to me and hugs me. Jimmy sits between Kenzie and Annie, he hugs them both. All of us cry for about 2 hours. Then we fall asleep at 3 o'clock.
