Everywhere there are terrified children in the middle of the night.

What’s UNDER their bed? Hiding UNDER the darkness?

They’re cowering UNDER the influence of their frightening imagination. They feel like they can’t escape even UNDER their blanket.

The warm blanket will only shield them away for so long, until they have to stick their head out to breathe again.

They don’t look UNDER their bed in the dark; only dare sneak a peek UNDER the safety of their bright bedroom lights.

They see things that adults don’t anymore and they know it. The shapes take form of bodies and they start to feel watched.

Scary things live UNDER beds and they know. They come crying from UNDER their blankets for their parents; frightened of the pair of eyes UNDER their bed.

Are they real or fake?

A child’s imagination is their downfall as they slip UNDER the spell of fear. The monsters are real and they hide UNDER everything.

The monsters are lurking UNDER the darkness, beds, couches, and UNDER the house, in the basement.

They hide UNDER their parents’ protection but still feel watched as they try to convince themselves to go to bed. It takes a while but they finally fall UNDER sleep’s spell.
