The darkness descended upon us and overtook the day. A ghastly sliver of white peeked out from behind the clouds. It was haunting, but Luna smiled. She lived for nights like these.
"Luna?"
The sudden noise made Luna sit up quickly from her position of laying down on the hill behind her uncle's house. "Tristan." She answered with an undertone of relief. "What are you doing here?"
"Your uncle asked me to come get you." He paused, "Is everything okay?"
Luna's entire attitude towards him shifted, "Why wouldn't everything be okay?"
Tristan appeared caught off guard by the sudden change. "Normally you don't stay out this late. Sorry to disturb you, Luna."
"Oh. Yeah." She replied. "It's a full moon tonight. We haven't known each other long enough, I guess."
"Yeah."
There was a strange gap of silence where Luna gazed wistfully upward and Tristan stood awkwardly next to her while occasionally sneaking glances at the beautiful dreamer beside him.
