* Violet Blake *
After that I missed school for a week, unable to find the courage to face Riley. What was he about to say? Did he even miss me? Something in my heart hoped he did.
I sighed and opened the orange container, pouring two small white pills into my palm. My new psychiatrist prescribed me new pills. Since I refused to go see Dr. Bennett anymore, my mom found me a new one. Dr. Hartman. What a cliché name.
There was a list of side affects that I ignored, like all the others. I was one of those people who have taken so many pills and experienced so many side affects they barely effected them anymore, if they got them at all.
I put the pills in the back of my throat and swallowed them down with water. I felt them slid down my throat until they vanished. I always hated the feeling of pills going down.
As I was told, I went straight to bed after.

I woke up with a stretch. I had slept great. Better than in years. Yawning I fell back onto my bed.
Wow I feel....light.
Smiling, I went and got dressed. Finally it's Saturday. I don't have to listen to mom annoy me to go to school.
Psh what does she know?
Sighing yet again, I put on a light blue tank top and skinny jeans. Tying up my converse, I planned to go for a walk.
Besides, it was 12 in the afternoon.

I walked down the street, a bright smile plastered in my face. The sun was shining and birds were singing. I felt so.....free. As if nothing was weighing me down anymore. I had been cut loose and was free to roam.
It felt amazing.
I walked past the park and the school. I had almost turned the football field when I heard someone yell.
"Hey Violet!"
I turned and saw Riley running toward me.
Yeah Riley, I missed him so much!
* Riley Bennett *
I had been watching the schools soccer game against Trenton, when I saw a frimilar face walking down the sidewalk.
There she was. It had been a long week without seeing her even once. I knew she was trying to avoid me but I wasn't going to let her.
"Hey Violet!" I yelled, hoping off the stand and running towards her.
The game was boring anyway.
She turned to me with a bright smile. I was a little taken aback. I don't think I've ever seen her smile so bright before.
"Riley!" she yelled when I finally reached her. I shot her a look. What was wrong with her?
"Hey Violet, I was wondering if we could talk?" I asked. Listen to me. I was acting like a girl! I had never asked to 'talk' with a girl before. Violet is really changing me.
"Aww I missed you to RiRi!" she gushed. Before I could think she placed both her hands in the side of my face.
Wow, her hands are cold.
I kinda like that. Maybe later I could warm them up for her.
No Riley! focus!
"You are so sexy! Did I ever tell you that?" she said stupidly.
What was wrong with her? She was acting really happy! I kinda liked it. But this was too much happy. Even for me.
I moved my hand to her wrist and pulled her hands from my face. She frowned, i felt my heart clench but ignored it.
Still holding her hand I searched her eyes for the real Violet. But all I saw was happy and fun.
"Violet, are you okay?" I asked carefully. She cocked her head to the side with a dumb blonde smile. (No affence to blondes. It's just a saying!)
"You have beautiful eyes." she completely ignored my question. Wow she's messed up. She's wasn't even this weird when she was drunk!
"Are you high?" I asked her. A small smirk creeped on her face.
"No silly! I-I my doctor got me some new pills and I just have to say. There workin!" she giggled. She pulled her wrist from my grasp and started to walk away.
What the?
I ran up behind her and grabbed her waist.
"Okay, why don't we take you home." I said. She let out a long aww.
"But why? It's such a beautiful day an-and we should go somewhere! Li-like the woods! Yes the woods! With the trees and and little creatures." she rambled. I smiled at her cuteness but lead her back towards her house. I admit I like seeing her happy but this wasn't Violet. I was pretty sure she had no control over whats she's doing. Those pills are a little too strong.
We started walking down the sidewalk in silence, I didn't even worry about the game I paid two dollars to see, when she abruptly stopped.
"What are you-" she cut me off.
"What were you about to say?" she asked with a pouty face. I froze. I knew exactly what she was talking about. I wanted to tell her but not when she's like this.
"Come on, let's get you home." I persisted, reaching for her hand. But before I could grab it she pulled her it away. I stared at her stunned.
No ones ever rejected me before.
"No." she stated firmly.
"No?" I echoed disbelievingly. She crossed her arms over her chest and stayed firmly planted to the ground. I didn't know what to do. No ones ever said no to me before.
"Not until you tell me what you were about to say." she argued. I can't believe this. She was actually trying to fight me? No one fights me. I'm Riley Bennett. No ones ever....stood up time before.
"Violet" I tried again.
"No!"
I sent a glare at her. Why was she being so so so stubborn?
I took an step towards her but she didn't falter.
"Vi, come on. You need to go home." I said. She didn't do anything. She was starting to get on my nerves. Acting like a child.
We stared at each other for a while until I finally broke.
"Fine! Okay! I was about the say that I liked you! That no matter what she said I wouldn't stay away from you! That your the only girl that I cared even a little about! That I would never hurt you and even if you did hurt me I wouldn't care as long as I was with you!" I exploded. Her eyes widened but she stayed silent. I felt out a frustrated groan and ran my hand through my hair.
"There. I said it. Happy? Now let's go home." I took her hand again and this time she let me.
And with that I walked her home in complete silence.
