Before I had the chance to look at my screen on my phone, Hayden ripped it out of my hands.

"Hey! Give it back!!" I swatted her arm and tried to retrieve my prized possession. Autumn peeked over Hayden's shoulder as she lit up the screen. Gasping in unison, Hayden handed my iPhone back to me.

"Umm...I think you should read this," she said seeming a bit nervous. I was going to go insane if I had to wait any longer. I snatched my phone back accidentally scratching Hayden a little. She squealed, and I rolled my eyes. A smile instantly creeped to my lips. I couldn't believe he actually texted me. My eyes slowly read over the message taking in each word.

Hey, how are you? I'm so sorry I didn't text you earlier. I've been crazy busy with the tour and every chance we get the boys and I have been recording our new album. I hope you can understand. I wish I could be there, and we could get to know each other better. As soon as this tour is over I promise we will meet again. But for now we just have to wait. I really hope you reply to me because I'd love to talk to you again.

xx Niall

I immediately start to type a reply, when Hayden stops me.

"Oh, no no no no. Are you crazy?! You can't reply right away! He made you wait all this time, so now he can wait at least a few hours," she demanded crossing her arms.

"Okay, fine, I won't text him back just yet." I couldn't help the smile that appeared once again. He actually cares about me.

We hop into the Jeep and head home.

"I'm huuuuungry," Autumn wines from the back seat.

"We can make something when we get back to Riley's." Hayden announced.

"But I want chicken nuggets," Autumn pleaded.

"Actually, I could really go for some nuggets and fries too," I chimed in.

"Okay, fine," Hayden sighed.

"Yaaaaay." Autumn reached over the seat to give Hayden a hug. I started laughing at Autumn's enthusiasm over chicken nuggets.

When we got to McDonald's the parking lot was basically empty which meant we would get our food fast. Sure it's a fast food restaurant but sometimes they take forever and that's when they always seem to mess up your order.

After we gobbled down our nuggets and fries, Hayden sauntered towards the washroom. That's when Autumn leaned over to me and whispered in my ear.

"I think you should reply to Niall." My ears perked up at the sound of his name. I nodded my head and took out my phone.

Hey! I've been good. Even better now that you finally decided to text me haha. I'm so glad that you and the boys have been working on another album, and I can't wait to hear it! I hope you can keep your promise because the night we first met was the best night of my life. Most importantly though, I hope you don't forget about me.

x Riley

I reread my message about a thousand times before hovering my thumb over send. Before I could analyze my words any longer, Autumn slammed my finger onto the send button.

"What are you guys doing?" Hayden questioned. Autumn jumped about a mile, and I let out a small squeal.

"Omg, you scared me so bad." Autumn said ignoring Hayden's question. "I didn't think you'd be right behind us."

"I texted Niall back," I confessed.

"Are you serious. It's only been like an hour. You should've waited longer Riley. Now you seem desperate." It hurt me a little to think that Hayden would say that. She can't tell me what I can and cannot do.

"Whatever," I retorted starting to walk out the door. As we got into the Jeep, I saw a flash of hurt cross Hayden's face. I ignored the look thinking that she hurt me as well, and she didn't even know it.

When we got back to my house I decided to put my phone away for the rest of the day. I didn't want to be constantly checking it to see if Niall replied. They Hayden would for sure tell me off about that. Instead we all agreed to watch a TV series called Stranger Things. We've heard so much about how amazing this show is so, we decided to give it a try.

After watching four episodes, Hayden announced that it was time for her to head home. Autumn agreed seeing that it was already 9:00. We said our goodbyes and off they went. I waiting outside watching them drive away until I couldn't see their cars anymore. A breeze had picking up sending goosebumps down my arms. I shivered and quickly made my way back inside. Wanting to see if Niall had messaged me, I excitedly raced over to my phone. Disappointment washed over me as my eyes reflected a blank screen. He hadn't messaged me back. I shouldn't be as disappointed as I am, but I just couldn't help it. I didn't really feel like doing anything anymore, so I decided to call it a night. It was still early but I was exhausted. As soon as my head hit my pillow, I fell asleep peacefully.
