Another month has passed, and Trixie has only gotten bigger. Katya hasn't left her side since the day they've met. Trixie doesn't mind the company especially it being Katya. Ussually their days are filled with Katya going out of her way to Make Trixie feel comfortable followed by the T.v. playing Trixies favorite movies none stop. They send eachother lingering glances every once in a great while. Katya of course thinks it's just her.
It isn't.
Some days they spend the day at the park. They walk talk about anything, and everything. Trixie loves it when Katya talks about her youth spent in Russia. Her accent sounding like music to her ears. Katya of course thinks she's just annoying the young woman with her nonesense. Trixie can't help but laugh at Katya's stange sense of humor. Ussually people have to become a costom to it. Trixie didn't. Maybe that's why Katya's main goal was to make her friend laugh. She can't help but smile when Trixie rolls her head back with laughter. Her hands placed on her stomach as leverage so she doesn't fall.
"Why do I feel like I've met you in a past life?" Trixie asks while they sit on a park bench. One hand placed on her stomach the other on Katya's exposed leg. Trixies touch no longer makes Katya anxious. They bring her down to earth, "I don't beleive in that soul mate none sense." Katya's eyes linger from the birds landing onto the cement in front of her to Trixies worried gaze, "You don't?" Katya shrugs her shoulders, "I mean I do believe some people are more suited for eachother than others." Trixie smiles, "Me too." Katya blinks slowly. The silence settles between them, and for the first time Katya doesn't feel the need to fill it.
Trixie never minds it when Katya stays the night on her couch. She also doesn't mind it when Katya goes on a rampage about Contact. She's never minds it when Katya has a tendency to stare for longer than anticipated. Her days have been filled with Katya's abrupted jokes followed by a loud dry cackle. At first it was off putting, but now it's a reminder that she isn't alone in this giant world. She feels like she can conquor anything as long as Katya's by her side.
"Why would anyone listen to this shit?" Katya asks before slamming the volume off on the sterio in Trixies car.
Trixie smiles as she steers, "Not a fan huh?"
Katya shakes her head, "Never!"
Trixie laughs at Katya's strange dislike, "Her songs resonate with me."
Trixie gives a small smile turning the station to something else, "You sure you wanna come along for this ultasound?" Trixie asks as they park.
Katya turns her head towards Trixie, "If I don't then who will? Plus I'd rather it be me anyways."
Trixie gives a loud breath as she turns off the rumbling engine of her car, "Here." Katya softly says as she takes Trixies purse.
Katya sits next to Trixie in the dark litted area as the nurse turns on a screen in search of the baby. Katya crosses her legs as she sits idly by. Trixie seaches for Katya's hand when the nurse smears a cold gel onto her stomach, "Cold?" Katya asks. Trixie just nervously nods her head. Katya gives her hand a small squeeze.
Katya stares in awe as the fast heartbeat fills the room, "Have you been told the sex yet?" Trixie shakes her head, "Would you like to know?" Trixie looks at Katya's hopeful eyes then looks back at the nurse, "Yeah actually I wouldn't mind knowing."
Trixie and Katya walk into Adore and Jinkx's apartment. With Jinkx being off plus Adore being home. Trixie decides to share the news, "It's going to be a girl!" Trixie chants with a smile, "That's amazing!" Jinkx smiles hugging Trixie tightly. Adore sits there with a striaght face wondering what to say, "Adore?" Trixie asks letting go of Jinkx, "I just- I thought you were going to wait to find out the sex?" Adore asks blinking slowly, "I wanted to I really did, but this baby name thing has been driving me crazy." Adore shakes her head, "There are gender nuetral names Trix." Adore expresses with crossed arms, "If the baby doesn't like their name then they can change it when they're able to even form complete sentences, but right now I'd like to celebrate." Trixie spits out before tunring around. Katya gets up to follow, "You're right you know." Katya admits as Trixie walks down the street. Trixie turns around with sad eyes, "It just hurts." Katya runs up to Trixie. To only be batted away, "No I- I Just need to be alone." Trixie mutters as she turns around, "It's ok. I'm used to having no one. Just let me know when you want me around again." Trixie turns around to a hurt Katya whose looking up at the sky. She feels rain drops softly plop onto her nose. As the rain begins to pour so do Trixies tears. Katya lifts her head meeting Trixies melting makeup, "You shouldn't be out here." Katya chants over the pouring rain, "Yeah well. Neither should you." Trixie chants back. Katya takes Trixies hand quickly guiding her towards her car. Katya shuts the door, and the rain becomes heavier, "Katya I- I ... I don't know." Trixie looks ahead at her steering wheel, "I'm straight Katya... but you." Katya's pulled out of her thoughts her eyes widen.
Yes Trixie is straight, but she can't help but wonder what Katya's red lips would feel like against hers. What they'd taste like. She didn't know what to do when those thoughts first came into her mind. Since yes she is pregnant she just blamed hormones for so long, "Trixie... you're going to have a baby. Maybe it's best if we not talk about this till things." Katya gestures to Trixies stomach with her eyes, "Settle down." Trixie gives a small smile, "I'm sorry." She says both of her hands on the steering wheel after starting up the engine. Katya opens the door to step out, "Wait where are you going?" Trixie asks, "I thought you wanted to be alone?" Trixie pulls Katya in by her wrist, "I didn't mean it... just get in."
