We both looked over the menu as we sat in silence.
"So, about this Jai guy" Arsen started speaking breaking the silence, I felt my body stiffen at his name. The last thing i want to talk about is my ex boyfriend to my new boyfriend.
"What about him?" I asked, not taking my eyes off the menu.
"Whats the story between you guys?" He asked, looking down at his menu.
"I don't think this is a good topic for a date, don't you think?" I responded, his eyes darted up from the menu to look at me.
"I don't care, now answer the question. Please." He spoke harshly, not leaving my gaze.
"There's not much to tell besides he's Aiden's brother, so i grew up with him. But we ended up dating for three years before he broke up with me because he got accepted to princeton." I shrugged, looking over my last deciding options of the food i wanted.
"Oh..."
"Yeah" I spoke looking up at him, he shifted uncomfortably.
"Tell me some stuff about you, like do you have any siblings?" I questioned, biting my lip.
"Uh, yeah. I have a little brother and a little sister." He nodded his head looking directly at me.
"How old are they, and whats their names?" I questioned with a smile on my face.
"Trevor is ten, and Zoey is five"
"I hope I get to meet them one day." I smiled, gazing at him. His eyes flickered to mine, before giving me a sheepish smile.
"I'm sure you will." He smiled back at me.
"I'm an only child, but I've always wanted to have a sibling." A smile creeped on my face, he rolled his eyes, leaning back.
"Trust me, no you don't"
" That's people with siblings say" I rolled my eyes leaning my head on my hands.
"And people without siblings say that." He smirked raising his eyebrows at me.
"Touche" I raised mine staring at him.
He smirked not saying anything, his eyebrow raised as a deep chuckle came from his slightly parted lips.
"Can I get you guys something to drink?" The older lady Mary asked us. Both our eyes snapped to her.
"I'll have a water" I smiled at her.
"Coke"
"I'll be right out with those." She smiled at us before walking away.
I watched her as she started to get out drinks, casually talking to another waitress that was attending to another couple.
"Do you came here a lot?" I asked him, not taking my eyes off the older lady.
"Maybe"
I looked back him to see that he was staring at me, "Maybe?" I cocked my head.
"Mhm" He smirked again, leaning onto the table, resting his head on his hands.
I rolled eyes and leaned back , crossing my arms over my chest.
"I use to come here with my parents all the time, until they got too busy; now I come here all alone." He shrugged leaning back into booth.
" Well, thanks for bring me here" A smile creeped into my lips, as one did on his.
Mary came back, putting my water in front of me before putting Arsens coke in front of him, "My I take your order or do you need more time?" She asked.
"I'll get a cheeseburger" I said, closing my menu and handing it over to her with a smile on my face.
"Same" Arsen nodded handing his menu over to her as well, without the smile.
"I'll get those right out to you guys" She smiled, with a nod at Arsen.
"She seems to have a soft spot for you" I chuckled at him, placing my hand over my mouth. He glared at me, before he let an eye roll to happen.
"She's not the only one that has a soft spot for me, huh?" He smirked, winking at me.
"Yeah, sure." I smirked.
"Oh, obviously it's true since you skipped school to come on a date with me." He smirked once more and leaned back in the seat.
My face began to start blushing, "Well yeah about that." I started to say before he cut me off.
"Quit lying to yourself babe." He smiled at me as he stared at me.
I placed my elbows on the table and my head on my hands, smiling back at him. We sat talking more until our food came out.
"Here you guys go" The older lady placed our food down right in front of us.
I took a deep breath in to let the smell fill my nose, I heard chuckling from across me, I looked up to see Arsen smiling at me.
"What?" I questioned letting a smile creep onto my face.
He shook his head and placed a hand to his mouth, hiding the smile that was still on his lips, "Nothing, just that was really cute".
"Oh shut up" I stuttered, a blush creeping onto my face. He chuckled once more, picking up his burger, smiling to himself.
We ate our food, talking about anything that came to our minds. Arsen paid the bill and we left hand and hand.
"Want to go somewhere else or would you rather go back to school and be a good girl?" Arsen smirked at me, looking down at me.
"Where else would you take me?" I questioned out loud, "Do you want to take me somewhere no one will find my dead body?" I half joked.
Arsen stopped walking and turned around to look at me with a death glare, "Why would you even say that?".
I shrugged my shoulders, "I don't know. It's you."
He continued to stare at me before he shook his head and let out a chuckle. But it wasn't his normal chuckle it sounded like an evil chuckle. He kept pulling me along. I forgot about the evil laugh until he was bringing me into the woods. I turned to look at him with concern.
"Come on" He smirked pulling me along, and deeper into the woods. My belly started turning into knots.
"Um, you do realize I was kidding about hiding my body right?" I questioned, looking around me before I glanced at him.
"Oh you were, were you. That's cute" He laughed pulling me behind him. He turned his head back to look at my freaked out face. He started laughing before stopping and pulling me into his chest. "I was kidding, but the look on your face was priceless!"
"Asshole" I pushed my arms into him and pulled away, once free I crossed them over my chest.
