Bryan soon brought us our dinners, but, to Aaron's discontent, he joined us for dinner.
"So, Aaron, you planning on taking this pretty lady home tonight?" He wrapped his arm around me, and winked at Aaron, who was sitting at the booth opposite us. Aaron just glared.
"No, I am a gentleman, whereas you are a manwhore." I chuckled, and Bryan got up and removed his arm from my shoulder.
"Well, I never" he trailed off, walking in the direction of the bathroom. He swung the door open and marched in.
I just chuckled and twirled a few pieces of fettuccine on my fork before slurping them up. Aaron looked at me, a bewildered expression on his face. I burst out laughing, placing a hand over my mouth to avoid spraying him with Alfredo sauce. I chewed and swallowed, and as soon as I had finished, I chuckled at his still bewildered expression, which had molded into one of disgust.
Bryan came back and sat down next to me once again.
"What's with your face bro?" He asked Aaron, slurping up a noodle in the same way that I had.
"You two are pigs." He said, shaking his head at me as I slurped up more noodles. He gawked at me before mumbling, "I'm going to go hide in the men's room." He walked off, his shoulders slumped. Bryan and I looked at each other before bursting out laughing. We high fived and went on slurping noodles and giggling like children.
About ten minutes later, we had finished our pasta, and Aaron was still in the bathroom. Since we were the only ones in the restaurant, I went into the men's room where I saw Aaron leaned up against the sink. When he heard the door open, he quickly spun around and pretended to be washing his hands. I walked up behind him.
"What have you been doing in here that you have to wash your hands?" I stood against his now rigid back, breathing on his neck. He turned to face me, and seemed relieved when he saw that it was me.
"What are you doing in here? Please don't tell me you're secretly a-" I cut him off right there.
"No, I'm not!!" I yelled. "Want me to prove it to you?" I said in a mock seductive voice, rolling my eyes. He grabbed my arm and dragged me out of the bathroom. Bryan was still seated at the table, cheerfully dipping a bread stick in Alfredo sauce.
"Go away now. I want some time with my girl without some jackass getting in the way." Aaron said, shooing Bryan away with his hand. Bryan pouted, but got up and went into the kitchen. I sat down, and Aaron sat next to me, as opposed to the other side. He wrapped his arm around me and pulled me to him, kissing my forehead tenderly. When he pulled away, he smiled at me. Just then, Bryan came back with a hot fudge sundae in his hand. He set it down between us. He also handed Aaron two spoons. Aaron handed me one, but I pushed it away.
"What's the matter, Mackenzie?" He asked me, concern in his eyes.
"I hate hot fudge sundaes." I said quietly, grinning apologetically. A look of understanding crossed his face.
"Well, what do you like?"
"Cheesecake!"
"So you have wished it, so shall it be. Dumbass!" He called, gesturing for Bryan to come over here.
"You know, you could be a little nicer." Bryan whined.
"You know, you could be a little smarter." Aaron smirked. "Anyways, bring a cheesecake for the lady." Bryan walked off, a frown plastered on his face from Aaron's insult. My heart just about snapped.
"You don't have to be such a jerk to him!" I cried, swatting Aaron. He turned to me, a shocked expression on his face.
"You're defending him?" He yelled.
