Chapter 3

Sapphire's pov.

I am currently packing my bag to move in with my dad. I just told Taylor's mom about it. Taylor gets home in about 5 minutes so I decided I would tell her then. After I had finished packing my bags I took them downstairs. Taylor looked at me with sadness in her eyes. "Where are you going?" She asked, walking up to me. "I found my dad! You remember that guy we bumped into the other night?" I asked. She nodded. "That was my dad! I'm moving in with him. I'll be a permanent resident of the French Quarter!" I said. She ran up to me and engulfed me in a bear hug. "Have you told Tessa?" She asked. I nodded. "She was sad but ok with it." I said. "Well, I have to go to my new home! I love you." I said. "I love you too." She said, giving me one last hug. I waved goodbye and walked out the front door, wheeling my suit case behind me. I had a leather backpack on my back and I was wheeling my black and white, medium sized, polka dot suitcase behind me. I was lugging my luggage around the French Quarter looking for my new home. That's when someone tapped me on my shoulder. "Sapphire, the compound is right there!" The blond girl from earlier said, pointing to the building. "Thanks..." I said, implying for her to tell me her name. "Oh, you can call me Aunt Bekah." She said and I nodded. We walked into the compound and I got stares from multiple people I don't know. "You must be our lunch." A guy with an Afro called out. I was taken a back by his statement. "No, she is not your lunch." The guy from earlier, I think he said his name is Marcel called out. "You are to protect her. She is Elijah's daughter! That is why you are here!" Aunt Bekah said, rather loudly. "But she's human! How does he have a daughter?" Another guy asked. "I don't know why you would want to eat me. And I was born, you know how baby's are born. And aren't you human too?" I said. All the people I didn't know laughed. "No we are not human! We are-" he got cut off by my Aunt pushing me towards the kitchen. After she did she walked back out to the group of people.

Rebekah's pov.

"Diego, she doesn't know about the supernatural, yet!" I said walking up to him. "How does she not know? Her family is supernatural." He said. "We just found out about her this morning." I retorted. He put his hands up in defense."How old is she?" Thierry asked. "14!" I said. "Really? She looks like she's 16!" Diego said. "Well she's not!" I said back. Just then Sapphire walked out of the kitchen. "Why did you put me in there? You do know I heard everything, right?" She said. I turned to her. "You did?" Marcel asked her. "Yeah, I've always had really good hearing. But my eye sight is a different story. I have to wear contacts." She said. I nodded. "I'll be right back." I said and went upstairs to her room. Elijah, Klaus, and Kol were working on her room. I walked in. "She has super hearing!" I said. They all looked at me. "What do you mean she has super hearing?" Nik asked. "I put her in the kitchen so she didn't hear me talking to Diego about her not knowing about the supernatural and she heard everything. Elijah she didn't just inherit her mom's qualities she got qualities from you as well. She's part vampire." I said. They were staring at something behind me. I turned around to find Sapphire staring at me with her mouth open. "Did you just say what I think you said?" She asked. "Depends on what you heard!" Kol said. "I heard you say that I'm part vampire. And if that's true than you are also vampires!" She said. "Oh, and I do know about the supernatural! I have a few friends in Mystic Falls that are supernatural!" She continued. "Mystic Falls?" Kol asked her. "Yeah." She answered. "Do their names just so happen to be Stefan, Damon, Elena, Caroline, Bonnie, and Tyler?" Nik asked. "Yeah. Why?" She asked him. "Huh, well we know them. We call them the Scooby Doo Gang." Kol said. She nodded slightly and then left. I looked back at my siblings before going after her. "Hey, Sapphire, where are you going?" I asked as I caught up to her. "Where is the bathroom?" She asked. "Down the hall, the first door on the right." I said. She nodded. "Thanks!" She said and walked to the bathroom.

Sapphire's pov.

I walked into the bathroom and closed the door. After I was finished using the bathroom I washed my hands and walked out. I was about to go downstairs when I saw a room full of books. I walked into the room and looked at the spine of the books, admiring them. I love reading and writing. I've never actually been to a real school, I've always been homeschooled so I don't really have a favorite subject but I guess it would be English. I found interesting looking books. The design of it was weird. It looked like it was made from worn down animal skin.
