Russia woke up at 7 am that day. He got dressed in his finest vest and had a warm cup of coffee to get him full of energy. That day, he didn't drink vodka. Maybe this will give you a hint of how important this was to him. He needed it to be perfect.
Even though he woke up so early he didn't make his way to his lover's house until way later. First, he had to make everything ready.
He made small portions of different Russian plates and saved them in beautiful decorated wooden boxes. He placed them in a huge yellow blanket and went to the place where he planned to bring him later. And obviously, it was a sunflower field.

When he had everything ready he went to pick up his boyfriend. He checked the clock, it was already six in the afternoon.
He tried to calm down his heartbeat as he gently knocked at the boy's door. He need everything to be perfect, and that started by not letting the boy realise his intentions.
