Final Fantasy XVI

Chapter 2: Monsters

"This meeting is now in session!" a man yelled. Four people were gathered around a big table. They all wore fancier cloth then the other regular civilians of the city.

     "I believe we all know why we are here." called out Sir Gagazot, leader of the bloodbender who wore a black button up and small red cape that really didn't fit with the scar near his left eye.

     "Indeed, you wish to address the problem with the monsters, yes?" Answered 101, leader of the Androids who simply wore a white button up with dress pants, his eyes were pale being artificial. The eyes were always a dead giveaway that a "human" was an android. 

     Another man with a much different attire yelled out and slammed his fist against the table "Yeah!? So you're finally going to admit you did it then!?" This was General Frock, leader of the animalis union, he wore viking gear from head to toe. He was tough and he looked the part also, he always wore a helmet that had horns on it, showing off that he, many years ago slayed a 70 foot high beast with only an axe. 

     "Please calm down Frock. We shouldn't go around making baseless accusations." said the wise miss Clair who wore a beautiful white dress that went well with her silky golden hair.

     "Baseless!? Bloodbender scum have the highest crime rate in Fier and they hate everyone!" growled Frock before 101 spoke up.

     "What you say is true Frock, however, these monsters have claimed more bloodbender lives than anyone else"

     "Dont get me started bot! You and your union created a secret army to try to overthrow us 3 years ago! you wiped out numerous people and destroyed many districts of Fier. Only reason youre still here is because it was a supposed glitch" Said Frock using hand quotations.

     Gagazot gritted his teeth and stood up "Must you always see the bad things!?"

     Frock stood up also and put his hand on his axe, threatening him "Someone has too!" 

     Sensing the hostility of the room, 101 summoned a giant buster sword, a sword that was once told in childrens stories. Gagazot followed summoning duel daggers. However Miss Clair just pulled Frocks arm back roughly

     "Please dont do this..." she addressed to everyone and made sure to look the three boys in the eyes "Before we turn to violence i do wish you listen to someone who is waiting in the other room. He knows whats causing all of these creatures to come." 

    A guard from on the north side of the room opened a door and out walked a man with a grin on his face, he wore a dark trench coat and had long red hair making him very noticeable among everyone. The man spoke 

     "Tsk Tsk, fighting among the unions... That will not be good." The man put a hand on his chin and examined the four as the four looked right back at him. Clearly the four found his hair odd but they ignored it having better things to worry about at the moment in time. "If we are to eliminate this new threat, i recommend you listen and listen well." 

    Frock became inpatient quickly and called out at the new man "Come on now! Spit it out carrot top!" This action caused Clair to smack Frock in the back of the head, deserving it. 

     "As i was saying..." The man continued "... The gods of our world wish to kill all of us. Wait. Let me put it better! Alright, the gods that we all know and love, the ones that created our land... yadda yadda yadda. They wish to reclaim their land from us. Using... you guessed it! Monsters." The man was strange, he was very chirpy and kept lighthearted. 

     101 responded to the man, his massive sword had been summoned away in a blink of an eye leaving only a few particles of light floating around "I do not mean to be rude but why would we believe such an accusation, you have still not even told us your..." The red haired man put a finger on the androids mouth shushing him.

     "Its Kyo. and why should you believe me? Well tons of reasons but the two biggies are for sure the fact that your other option is going to be mass slaughtering of each other and ive done a certified 10 years of study on the gods, in fact im the only ones whose seen one. All in all, you should listen to me." Kyo was obviously a little cocky sounding but all four of the members looked at each other nodding in agreement and understanding. 

     Miss Clair sighed, not believing that this was fact however she had no choice but to trust Kyo "Alright. what is your idea then?"

     "We will have too kill them. Damn that also sounds harsh. all right they want us dead so we will have to bring the fight to them and show 'em what we got..." the man responded "... If they are gone they cant do this to us and our beloved city." 

    Gagazot didn't like this idea. "You gotta be kidding. There is no way we are going out to kill gods, not only is it against many religious beliefs around Fier. They are also mighty gods who can destroy anything." Gagazots forehead began to sweat heavily 

     Kyo walked closer to Gagazot and spoke clearly enough for everyone to hear him "Thats why i need 1000 men and women to fight alongside me. Then we stand a chance, i can provide 200 people but thats all."

     101 shook his head "Sorry. But there is no way we can provide that mny people we are already strapped for manpower as is. Nearly all of our guards are defending the city bordors from the creatures..." 101 sighed and spoke again after "i can provide 100 of my people." Gagazot growled "Wait are you actually considering this idea 101!?" 

     "What other choice do we have Gagazot?"

      "Well count me out. I can provide no one." 

      Kyo frowned but shrugged "what about you Clair? Frock?"

      Clair agreed and answered "100."

     Gagazot frowned now and Frock answered the same as Clair "100"

     "Perfect... Assemble your troops and tell them to meet me at the northern hate when the sunrises tomorrow." Said Kyo as he threw on his black jacket and put the hood over his head. It was odd to see a trench coat with a hood. "There is a rainfall coming so i must be going now. It was an honor meeting you all." He smiled under his hood and turned around and left with a Animalis guard coming with him. before they left the meeting room Kyo began talking to the guard but the group of four couldn't hear them. 

     "I cant believe you 3. HES INSANE HE WANTS TO KILL GODS!"yelled Gagazot as the forehead sweat was literally coming off him. 

      Clair spoke up before another fight broke out "This meeting is over. You heard Kyo. Assemble your troops by the morning." Clair stood up and left quietly, being frustrated with Frock and Gagazots actions. The other 3 also stayed silent but they glared each other in the eyes, eventually the room became empty.
