The air was calm and cool as I ran on the path through the forest. The trees were lush and green hiding the rays of sunlight that just started to appear. The dry leaves crunched under my feet as I ran towards my safe haven. A while back I came upon a small waterfall hidden by green trees and vines.
I stopped to calm my breathing as puffs of smoke floated in the air. I sat down on a rock and stared at the trickles of water falling into the small pond below. Its quiet here, so calming. 'I love this place.. it reminds me of home,'said Cameron. 'What was your home like?' I asked. 'It was beautiful, I was surrounded by nature everyday, and whenever I wanted to get away from home I would run through the forest, the feeling of freedom was awesome,'she sighed if remembering something.
'What was your family like?' I asked. She sighed, 'Family is not something I like to talk about. But lets just say my parents weren't the nicest. I was disowned right after I was born because I had inherited the power of one of my ancestors, the only people who really cared about me or loved me for that matter was my older brother and sister and my best friend.' 'Where are they now?' I asked.
'They are dead, though I'm not sure about my best friend, I don't know if she's alive or not.'
'Oh' I said. I went back to admiring the beauty of nature until a shiver ran down my back. Someone is definately watching me. I stood up and quickly looked around, but I couldn't see anyone. Suddenly the wind started to pick up as if the presence of that person unsettled it. 'I think we should get out of here, there seems to be something off about this place and I don't like it.' 'I agree with you there, hmm maybe your not as anoying as I thought you would be.''Gee thanks for that.' I laughed at her mentally as I began our run back home.
