Haven's POV
The late evening sun shining through my bedroom window was the only source of light I currently had. I looked over the supplies Rudy told me to gather. He wanted me to wear dark baggy clothes. Check. Bring the paint from when we remodeled my room. Check. Wear comfortable shoes because we may need to run. Check. Everything he told me to do was ready. The only thing missing was what his crazy idea even was. Rudy also told me his parents barely cared about the fight. They basically told him to just watch out for them and to not be afraid to fight back like he did. It's crazy how they act with him. Sometimes you'd think they don't care but other times they seemed like the most overbearing parents ever.
Rudy has always been a bit of a "bad boy" and a trouble maker. However, he was clever about it. Almost too clever because half of the time he never even explains his plans or ideas. It's always "Get these and meet me here, I've got a plan." or "Just trust me Haven, this'll be good!". Sometimes I hate it. I sat on the edge of my bed looking out the window. My room is on the first floor of my house. Rudy and I redid it last year. New paint, new furniture, and a new layout. The dark purple walls made the room feel smaller than it was. Which wasn't saying much. It was easily the smallest room in the house. I liked it though, especially the color. As I sat there daydreaming, Rudy finally called.
"Yo, Haven I'm about to be here." I looked out the window and could see his car slowly moving down the street.
"Be ready when I get here, we need to aim for a specific window of time."
"Okay, will do," I chimed in.
Rudy pulled up into my house within a minute of his phone call. I looked over the clothes I was wearing and the bucket of paint in my hand. I've still got no idea what he wants to do. Before I walked out the front door I called up the stairs to my parents and let them know I was going out with Rudy. Once I received their reply I headed out the door. Rudy sat in his car with similar clothes to mine. His smile stretched across his face.
"Hey sweetie," he said while kissing me.
"Ready for this? It's simple but it's only the first step."
"And what are we doing? You know I don't like it very much when you keep me in the dark like this." I told him trying to look stern. He only laughed.
"Well you know me, I like surprises."
"Well I like to know why you have us looking at criminals with a bucket of leftover paint." I replied back to his laugh.
"It's for Brad and Jude's cars. Well, Jude and Brad since we are starting with him."
"Is this really a good idea?" I questioned.
"Of course not!" Rudy laughed out.
"It's a terrible idea and it won't do much but it'll be fun and fuck them over a bit."
"Yup, that sounds like you."
"Yeah, you know me. If this was a war I'd be the side taking a million small shots rather than waiting for the big ones."
He pulled out of my drive way and we left. It was still fairly light outside so we decided to grab some dinner from McDonald's before we made our way to Jude's house. While eating Rudy told me about a new program he made.
