Chapter 2

How come girls always take long naps? I have been sitting her for like, an hour, and she has not waken up. I know how long it takes to go through portals. Its takes hours. And I'm sure she was asleep before she even went through it.

Should I even be complaining right now. No. I should be prepared for when my brother comes through that door, thinking this girl is a delivery, when really she's for...

What is she for?

Lucinda never really specified why she's here. Maybe it's because of her strong power I'm sensing. It's been in the room sense she's been here.

Maybe I should open that letter Lucinda gave me. I look at the letter that's been on my lap for the past hour. It says for Eric or Toby. My name is no where on it, but where's the fun if I don't know?

I open the letter and read the neatly scribbled words:

Dear Eric, Toby, or Alex

Yes Alex I know your reading this. Your curiosity has always gotten you in trouble. I might as well tell you who this girl is.

This girls name is Lilith Maria-Tiffiano Garnet. She is 15 years of age and turning 16 in four months. I am her god mother, and her real biological parents asked me to bring her back here for when she's old enough.

I need her to stay at your place for awhile. I know it's a lot to ask of you, and I wouldn't be doing this if it wasn't for one thing. 

Her father.

Her father has changed over the years. He's evil and he will do anything to use her power. She can't stay in the human world with her growing power anymore. I know you've felt it, she not a half-blood like you guys. She's a hybrid. One of the last ones left.

I know you will try to keep her safe. I'm not sure about you father or brother, but you heart will not let anything happen. I'm making this a job. If you don't want to watch over her you can always call and I'll come pick her up, but know it won't be for like a week or something.

P.S. the other letter is for Lilith.

I look over a the girl. Lilith Garnet. That's a pretty name. 

Lucy's right, I do feel her power. A hybrid. They say they're dangerous because they can have so much power. If that's true then why would she give her to us. She know's my dad works for the government. the people who would eliminate her.

I start to read the next page:

Dear Lilith,

When you wake up you are going to notice I'm not here. No I left you with some close friends of mine. If they seem off it's because they're something you are not use to.

They're vampires.

I know is sounds bazar and you probably won't believe me, but they are. Your not in you world anymore, your in our world. I'm a witch here. I use magic. But trust me when I say that the fairy tells and horror stories. These are good people. Well Alex and Toby are, but don't tell Alex I said that. 

Anyways, you will be staying with the Holloways until said otherwise. In a few days from now you will be attending NorthWidge Highschool. I'm sure Alex will help you with everything there.

If you want you can take dance. I think they have a club there.
