The movie was kind of getting boring, and Samirah and Jordan had their whole attention on each other so it kind of got awkward for me.

Since Symere wasn't there anymore (I don't know where that lil weirdo went) I was for sure third wheeling. I decided leaving would be the best decision. Not like they were gonna notice anyways.

I got up slowly and left the movie theater as quick as possible, getting a few groans on the way out.

By the time I was out of the place I realized something. How in the hell am I going to get home? And I am not going to ruin Samirah little date. She was having such a good time, I can't do that to her.

I unlocked my phone and saw how dry it was. Nobody was texting me or checking up on me.

Can't really blame them.

My subconscious was right and I can't even try and deny it like it's not my fault, because it is. I've been so focused on school that my social life was now non existent. Now that I think about it, besides Samirah, I really don't have any friends.

That really made me think my life over for a good second. Isn't college suppose to be the part of your life where you have fun, do wild shit with people you probably won't talk to in a couple of years. Just live in the moment you know, but I was doing the exact opposite thing.

That's going to change today though. From now on, I'm going to spend more time out then in. Because life is all about living in that day, not for tomorrow or yesterday.

"Damn girl I swear I see yo ass everywhere!"

I look back and roll my eyes. Not him again. "DaMn GiRl I sWeAr I sEe yO AsS eVeRyWhErE, shut yo ass up!" I mocked.

"Chill shorty," he chuckles but I can't quite find the humor in the situation. After a couple seconds of me staring at him, giving him the straightest face I could muster, he says, "I take it you're not the joking type."

"Oh I'm the joking type alright,"

"Well then, shoot your best shot." He smirked. I was caught off guard.

"Wait, you want me to tell a joke, like right now?" I questioned.

     "Ummmm, yeah!"

"I can't just come up with that shit off the top of my head."

"Excuses, excuses," he sung in a way that really made me annoyed.

"Okay fine," I huffed. If there was one thing I hated the most it was getting told I couldn't do something because in my book, the sky's the limit. And I'm going to prove him wrong.

"Knock, knock,"

"Yeah you're lame as-"

"Come on, just go along with it." He looked at me and sighed, "it's a good one, trust me." I reassured. At least it was funny to me.

"Whatever then, who's there?"

"A broken pencil," He scrunched up his face and squinted his eyes, "A broken pencil who?"
